Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

The possibilities
Although the course layout was nice, it could use some love and attention. The greens were ok, at best. The fairways and rough, were ruff, 😂. Doesn’t look like they were mowed in a while.
Its a jungle out there
Like previous reviews, where are the grounds keeping crew. It’s evident that the place hasn’t been tended to for some time. Balls are easily lost in the very tall grass in the rough. Greens need to be looked at. Other grass growing within the putting area. Makes it difficult for smooth rolling putts. Let’s not talk about the bunkers. I do like the layout of the course and would come back, but c’mon, let’s clean up the course!
USE YOUR LAWN MOWERS!!
Roughs are a foot high - lost balls on decent shots. Do not recommend at this time until they break out the lawn mowers. Horrible...
US open?
First cut of rough not mowed for 2 wks so over 8 in long…needed a weed whacker
Fairways in awful condition
Greens were fine fairways not so much needs serious maintenance over all great friendly staff but ground's crew got some work to do
Bad to worse
This course is in terrible condition. Dirt tee boxes, weeds on the greens, sand traps haven’t been raked, grass handing been cut in weeks. Just terrible!
Gone Downhill
I absolutely hate having to write this. Heritage Harbor is so close to my house and it has a decent layout. But they have let the course go. Bunkers haven’t been raked in months, grass hasn’t been cut in weeks, greens have weeds all over them, tee boxes have hardly any grass. Just terrible that they have allowed this to happen in a nice community. It’s clear the neighborhood no longer owns the course. Not sure what’s going on. The course manager was riding around snaking a cigar instead of cutting the grass. I think Northdale is in better condition. So that tells you how bad HH is. Save your money.
Playing a 80 dollar course for under 30
Greens were amazing, fairway were not bad with all the heat, great course for the money
Yikes
Foot tall weeds covering the entire tee box.
Dirt for a driving range.
Greens are covered in weeds.
A golf course has one main objective, to maintain their course. This place seems like their greens keeper has been on vacation for 6 months. Don’t waste your money.
Hidden Gem
I was pleasantly surprised with Heritage Harbor. Blind shots & greens in good shape fir summer in Florida. Only downside was pace of play, just because a threesome slowed me down! Never asked to allow me to play thru.
Best value
Pace of play is impotent and although its hot, we finish in 3 hours!
Amazing people, awful course conditions
I want to start this review by saying the employees we encountered this past weekend were truly amazing. From the prop shop, to the starter, to the bev cart to the 19th hole. 10/10 on customer service. That being said, do not book this course under any circumstances. The worst, and I mean WORST conditions I have ever experienced. Almost $60 for an absolute GOAT TRACK. Tee boxes, fairways, roughs and hazards were atrocious. It looks like a golf course that was completely abandoned then suddenly opened for Father's Day Weekend. Ironically, the best part of the course are the greens that were just punched and top dressed. I challenge the owner to take a long hard look at the property and be better. You are letting your amazing staff down by thinking the product currently being offered is ok. Terrible course management and I would be embarrassed to say I own it.
Course Needs Work
This course needs some TLC from the tee boxes to the greens.
The tee boxes are dirt and sand, finding a patch of grass to set the tee was tough.
The greens are in bad shape, very uneven with patches of weeds and sand.
For the amount being charged in June, Sunday tee time $57.00, there are other courses in the area for less $ and in better shape.
