Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Kind of boring layout and greens in bad shape
The course layout is typical for central Florida. Very flat and boring, grainy greens, plenty of sand and not long even from the back tees.
I do love the two hole stretch on the front that has a 263 yard par three that is completely blind from the tee and has a 10 yard wide opening to hit through. Its a monster of a hole!!! The next hole is a very tricky par five that requires knowledge of what’s ahead because of the double dogleg and another blind shot.
This course is great if you get on for $30 on a hot deal but at full price it’s way below average for what else is in the area. Lots of good courses here that are worth paying for
Great shape after the Hurricane
Course was an amazing shape. Considering you just went through a major hurricane Milton, there were only 2 tea boxes that were changed because of water in the fairways It was a great golfing day. Thanks, staff at heritage Harbor.
A nice little challenging course!!!
I love the layout of this course, the greens were rolling pretty nice !! One of my favorite golf courses around Tampa !!
6 days after Milton
All things considered the course was in decent condition. Front side had holes 4&5 shortened due to wet conditions. Greens had been cut and were fast. Some patchy spots, but playable. Tee areas OK. Bunkers need work
Rough was long and made finding balls a challenge on some holes. Played in the P.M. and pace of play was excellent.
Review
Price was cheap but it still was barely worth the money
Needs a lot of work
Greens are so bad they should probably be torn up and replaced. Rough hasn’t been mowed in a while but given that a hurricane just came through, they get a free pass there. The layout is great but the fact they charge $60+ a round is absolutely criminal with how bad the condition of the course is.
Mid…. The fairways are in decent condition and the greens have patches and could just use a little bit of TLC. The pace of play was fine on the front 9 but on the back 9 became a CRAWL and ended up having 6 groups including myself waiting.
Wishing for better results-Needs a lot of TLC
Booked this on it's 5.4 star rating. That was VERY generous. Liked the layout however the fairways and 1st cut were hard to tell the difference and needed attention. All the sand traps need to be refilled and worked on. Some disease affected many of the greens which made it hard to putt at times. I was looking forward to it being so close to Tampa TPC however, Kinda disappointed and not sure I would play here again.
A GOOD BUT WET DAY
My latest trip to Heritage Harbor was a morning after a 3-4 inch rainfall the night before. We were asked to stay on the cart paths, which was totally understandable. Roll out was reduced because of the wet conditions. We even saw water standing in a few fairway low spots. But the greens were great and I would not hesitate playing the course again. It's a fun track.
Not a good value
I have played HH many many times . I know we have had a tremendous amount of rain. The ruff around the greens hasn’t been cut in weeks. Every green is unplayable. HH is almost cow pasture status at 46 bucks it is a ripofff . I will check back in spring
Played here 6 months ago. Went back thinking it would be better but was let down. Greens are still a mess.
GOOD FOR A VERY SOGGY DAY
We came to play a day after a 3-4 inch rainfall. It was cart path only, very understandable, due to wet grounds and even some standing water. There was no roll out after a shot either because of the wet conditions. Still it was an enjoyable round with fast a true greens. We'll play there again.
Worst Course in Tampa
If you like weeds for fairways and craters on the greens this course is for you. My group and I play once a week at courses in the area and by far the worst course conditions in the area. Nothing redeemable about this course, save your money and play any other course in the area.
