Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

This course has a nice layout with enough challenging holes to make it interesting. I have played here many times and will be back.
The only problem we encountered was the length and shagginess of the grass on the tee boxes. Would love to see the grounds crew cut these down to a playable length.
Bang for the Buck
I am a paradise member and got a great rate it really needs to be mowed list several ball in the fairway.
Terrible course
Best part about this course was leaving. No joke. Crab grass everywhere. Rough had shoots of grass 18 inches high. I got a deal on golf now. My advice stay away. TPC TAMPA DOWN THE ROAD SO I THOUGHT THIS COURSE WOULDN'T BE BAD. OMG WORST COURSE I HAVE PLAYED IN FLORIDA IN 4 YEARS.
I have played here before many times, really enjoy the course. It was in good condition.
Best public course yet
I am in Tampa for the summer and am trying as many courses as possible. This has been my favorite so far by a mile. The weather was terrible so pace of play was great (only one group ahead of me and I saw them once). The course was in great shape, other than the crab grass on and around the green. Staff was very friendly and they have a great driving range. Beautiful scenery but i did get lost trying to find hole 17 lol.
Great course greens need some water
I did notice some crab grass on many greens and they do need water
Greens need water
Been playing weekly great course a lot of crab grass on some greens . Also got to water them
This course is above par.
With a very dry spring many courses tee boxes and fairways are in horrible condition, but not here. I will definitely be returning soon.
I’d have given it 5 stars if the carts were charged! LOL
This is definitely not a reason to avoid this course. But our cart died in the middle of the first 9. Then at 10, we went into the restaurant for a little while, and when we came out our replacement cart had also died. After swapping it out for the 2nd time we were back in business. It appeared that whomever plugged in the chargers, failed epically. Lol. However, the staff was nice as could be and had us up and running both times very quickly. This is a nice course with pretty greens. The tee boxes are a little brown, but the course was in very good shape. There are a couple of frustrating holes where you have to shoot over scrub or lay up, but I found as many balls as I lost, so I was still up on balls for the day.
Between here and Heritage Isles (don’t get them confused or you will miss your tee time. People do! They are not close.) these are my two go to courses in the area. They feel more like country clubs than city courses and you can usually find a hot deal on golf now.
First time here and I was excited to play and hopeful based on recent reviews stating excellent course conditions, but honestly the course needs some help in terms of condition. Lots of St. Augustine grass and others closer to weeds mixed in with the fairways, rough, greenside and even on the greens in some spots / holes. Most tee boxes in poor shape. Several fairways had large ground under repair sections. Greens have been obviously reduced in size, presumably to make it cheaper/easier to maintain, but they were not in great shape. And the smaller size makes certain holes nearly impossible to hit the green even with solid approach shots. All but one of the par fives are gimmicky blind doglegs and not much fun to play, especially with shrunken greens. The people were friendly and the beverage cart was around at least twice during our round. They had drinking water every few holes but most were empty by early afternoon. This place could be so much nicer, more fun and worthy of the greens fees if it were just in better condition.
Hot day
we played 4 holes on Monday and had to leave because it was so hot. We were on the verge of heat stroke. I wish we could get a rain check after spending $76 for our twosome. They warned us of the heat stroke potential and had to 911 a golfer due to the extreme heat. I hope they will reach out and invite us back with a heat stroke rain check
A good day
Better than being in work! Course conditions were excellent.
