Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Not what it used to be
Course is in rough shape, greens have weeds all over them and bunkers had grass growing in the middle of them. It a shame the company is letting it look like this, used to be a pretty decent course.
Bad condition
Love the course but the course looks rough right now. Played Friday and apparently they defended to just not now that day. Also weeds all over the green. Shame what’s happened.
Fathers Day Weekend
This course has been around for a while. The layout is interesting and has the potential to be great. Not well maintained and lots of weeds on the greens. No water on the first nine on a very hot day. Only saw the drink cart once all day. Again, a problem when it’s hot. There were two water coolers on the back nine which was fortunate since we never saw the drink cart once on the back nine. The value is good but I would happily pay more if they provided better upkeep.
Really?
I just don’t get it. I’ve seen better fairway conditions in cow pastures. Sorry to say -it’s just terrible.
First Time playing impressions
This was the first time playing Heritage Harbor so I was unfamiliar with the layout. The greens are mostly wide and shallow. The greens had been punched this week so putting was tough. I really liked the layout it makes you think about your course management and encourage you to be more accurate with your short irons into the shallow greens. The fairways are not in the best shape since the last 2 months or so has been so dry. I was tool that currently they are only allowed 60,000 gallons of water daily but this year they are getting reclaimed water and will increase to 300,000 gallons which should allow the fairways to improve dramatically.
rough conditions
Layout is great but the dry weather has been tough on this course. As with many courses in the Tampa Bay area, there is little grass if shots are 15 to 20 yards off the fairway. Greens are very bumpy and a few had weeds growing right on greens. They were aerorating the greens so a cover of sand was on every green. If they could clean up the weed problems and take care of the roughs with grass instead of sand and weeds this would be a 4 star course. One other thing that was uncomfortable, I was sent out on the 10th (no problem) but when I got to the one there were 3 carts already there. That didn't seem right.
Fun course, below average conditions
Played 6/1/2025. The staff were really friendly. The course has a fun layout. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were not in good condition. The pace slowed down quite a bit after the first 5 or 6 holes. At least the price was cheaper than many. I might play again if there was a discount, otherwise probably not.
