Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

I think they just gave up maintaining this course.
Definitely not worth the price. All courses in the area are struggling from the drought, but this one is awful. Lumpy, bald, and uneven tee boxes, crab grass everywhere in the fairway, huge dead patches, etc. No one bothers to rake the bunkers. Greens are decent. Clubhouse is nice.
Probably Not!
Course is in need of major improvements. Good layout, friendly staff, greens were okay, but fairways were basically dirt. Practice range was awful.
Brutal Conditions with the Drought
It’s not their fault that there hasn’t been rain, but can’t see myself coming back anytime soon until it rains and they get the course back in shape. Layout is good and pace was solid, just need to get the conditions back to what they were.
Don’t waste your money
This course is in terrible shape don’t waste your money it’s a flood zone and there is no grass in the fairways. The fairways are more like sand traps. Do not waste your money. Absolute garbage.
Playing the Harbor
I always enjoy this course. It is always is good to great condition!
Dry and brown at Heritage Harbor
Course hasn’t had water and there are virtually no fairways. You have to search for grass to place your ball or yo played it off bare ground. Even with the dry conditions, the greens were slow and bumpy and the traps were hard packed. All the lakes and ponds were practically dry. We’ve played this course in the past when conditions were more conducive to play. Our foursome had decided to take Heritage Harbor off our list to play until conditions there improve.
Fairways are dirt
Every shot from the fairway was like hitting out of sand. Greens were in ok condition but the rest of the course was horrible. Save your money and a headache.
This place has fallen off
Awful pace of play, fairways and tee boxes are absolute dog tracks… greens are equivalent to a nice fairway. This place used to be better. What a shame. Pro shop is bad too. No memorabilia or balls to purchase besides noodles and pinnacles. Someone needs to buy this place and save this course before it ends up as section 8 housing developments
Fairways are like playing on concrete.
The fairways were terrible! You would be lucky to find some grass in 90% of the fairways. The ground is hard the greens were ok but need a lot of care. I would not recommend playing here. I have not played here in many years and I will not go back for many years. This used to be a beautiful course don’t know what happened.
In need of a little TLC
Love this course but the fairways need help
The t-boxes were ok and the greens were fast
They have a nice patio overlooking the 11 th hole which is very nice
Will wait till next year to try it again
Great Experience
Staff were friendly from the get go. I like that they had a little stand out by the driving range to get something to eat and drink. Very convenient.
Layout of the course was nice. Fairways could use some work.
Facilities were clean. I will definitely go back.
Better fairways on mars
For $72 this course is not it. This course has the worst fairways I’ve ever golfed on. You were actually punished for being in the fairways. The weeds have overtaken the entire course and the fairways are 50/50 weeds and sand. The pro shop guy was very friendly and the carts were nice otherwise stay away from this place. Course is not worth $50 in the condition it is in now. This is the first review I have ever written that’s how bad it was.
Waste of money
Besides the greens the course is in unreasonably bad condition. The course has a cool layout with tons of potential but you are just playing off dirt hard pan or loose sand in the fairway. Staff and amenities were just fine but won’t even consider going back. Hope this saves someone’s day.
Great Layout
Maybe because of the drought, but the fairway and rough were a little ratty. Lots of hard pan areas, but definitely playable. The traps were the worst. But not because of the course, but because of the rake in the carts that people don't realize. The greens were perfect! I'd play here again.
