Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Greens were rough but knew before bookings. Rough could use water as rainy season is approaching. Course challenge and pace of play was excellent.
Rating
If only the club house staff would tell people ahead of time that every single green is not playable due to 1/4" sand spread all over and you will not be able to putt, that would have changed my mind playing this course. Please take lessons from TPC and Saddle Brook on how to take care of greens.
AMAZING COURSE!!!
Great course. Good price, good people, and amazing course conditions!!!
10/10 overall!!
Fun layout, shot making course.
This is one of my favorite courses in Tampa.
Warning, the greens are top dressed. A couple of holes there was so much sand on the green, I had to call a vet to take care of the camel I hit on my approach shot. But in a couple of weeks, the greens will be great.
Putting greens looked like a beach
Almost every hole on the front 9 looked like a bunker, the greens were unplayable i paid $25 to play this course and i wouldnt play it again in this condition for $5
Great course!!!
Great course! Greens were in great shape. Highly recommend.
Fairly Average
I have played this course numerous times in varying conditions. As of yesterday, the tee boxes were in pretty good shape. The fairways were dry with very little grass in some areas, which made for a tight lie and challenging to hit off hard-pan. Most of the sand traps were in good condition but needed crisper edges cut around the traps; however, the sand was plentiful & sound, and most of the greens were in pretty good shape, but they were pretty slow. A few greens had issues with weed or crabgrass patches growing on them. Pin placement and hole cuts appeared to be pretty decent. Sadly, there were a lot of singles, doubles, and threesomes that should have been paired up. I did not see any foursomes on the course during the entire round. We flew through the first four holes and then came to a screeching halt waiting on every hole from that point on; most of the time, we were backed up on the tee boxes two to three groups deep with other twosomes & threesomes still on the green and in the fairway; it was painful. We were still able to finish the round in slightly under four hours; however, it should have easily been a three-hour round had players not been jacking around and playing slowly. A single who caught up to us on #6 bailed out after nine holes, and another single behind him said he had a tee time 35 minutes after ours and caught up to us on #12, so we asked him if he wanted to join us and we played out the rest of the holes as a threesome since we were not going anywhere fast. Eventually, another single caught up to us while we were stacked two groups deep on the tee box and started yelling at everyone to hurry up and that he couldn't believe we were all backed up. It seemed like none of the groups could gain any momentum with their game due to the hurry-up and wait situation, plus the 10+ minute wait times at each tee box. No Rangers and No Drink Cart Girls were on the course, so it would have been a good round for some day drinking with all the downtime we had on the course. Ice water coolers were far between, and the water smelled and tasted like chlorine, so with no cart girl staying hydrated was a factor. Tough day of golf and a bit over-priced; $36 for the round should have been more like $18-$24 based on everything above.
Gold Tees
This is a very nice layout but if you hit the ball pretty far like me you have to play the gold tees. 6,890 or so from there because a lot of the holes are 300-350 so it gets boring hitting it close to the green especially when the turf is burnt to a crisp like it is here. The greens are pure and true for the most part and the pace was pretty fast but it was Tuesday. I didn't play the one par 3 form the tips its 263! through a shoot of trees form the back so I moved up . Very Fun day will be back!!
Tired and Unkept
Well below expectations. Greens and fairways weed filled. Bunkers unplayable on front and marginally better on the back. No beverage cart. Would not return…better value on better courses nearby.
Great bang for your buck
Course in solid shape. Not extremely long but makes you keep it in play. Will definitely go back
Nice, fairways a little thin
Other then fairways being thin, it’s not bad. I play there often. Need to get them fairways improved and it would be great
