Heritage Harbor

Same round as always. Course backed up due to one couple playing slow. Her first round. We stopped after nine again.

I don't have hours to watch people golf but that's the theme here. Even the beer cart commented it's open on the back nine. Seems like someone is being paid to take care of these things.

I had not played Heritage Harbor in several years and my memory was of greens and tee boxes that were not in good condition. Both are in much better condition. I can’t believe the course was not full today. I guess people just don’t realize how much better this course is playing now than in the past. I am impressed with the current conditions.

We got out there around 1PM, outrunning the thunderstorms. We fortunately stayed dry. Fairways were in good condition and rough was appropriately trimmed. Some greens were in better condition than others. Where they weren’t so good, there were spots of mutated grass and spots where there was no grass at all as if someone removed their divots completely instead of “fixing” them. Otherwise, a very good round.

Staff was BEYOND excellent and friendly. Greens were in good shape, better than the last 6 courses I've played lately. Nothing can be perfect this time of year. Fairways were in great shape. Bunkers could've been raked a bit more, but it's rainy season. Tricky course that was fun to play. I'd play here again without a doubt.

Course was in poor shape due to lack of water. Tee boxes were burned out and a ton of dead spots on the greens. I wouldn’t play here unless that area gets a significant amount of rain. Most greens are very small too. Awesome bar/restaurant tho!

HH is usually a good value for your money. The main issue with HH is that it goes from about 6100 yards to 6800 from the tips with no in between. This makes a huge difference, and while its not hard to figure out a way to get yardage in the middle on your own, it would be nice to have the clube address that issue. HH is also one of those courses that should be shut down for a year, some minor adjustments made to bunkers, edging, etc., and it would come back as a pretty good track. But, the greens were good, the cart girl was around, its not expensive and you can usually get on. Its just seems with some TLC this course would be exponentially better.

think our threesome paid $23 each which is great. hole set ups and conditions good. par 3s were are makeable for birdie. layout of 18, though, is so not enjoyable, its almost a deterrent to play here. maybe if it wasn't the last hole, it might be more acceptable but having to play a layup hole then over unplayable groundcover to finish just a bad way to end a course/round.

Course layout and conditions considerably more value than what little we paid. fairways in good shape. some greens better than others. par 3's reasonable distance and makeability. 18 is possibly the worst finishing hole ive ever seen on a course anywhere. others may disagree, but if opinion is being solicited for review, the mess in front of this green should just be grass and call it a day. that alone would improve my impression of this course and motivation to play it more

Really like the setup of this course, and my favorite holes are 13 and 18, both of which require a carry over a brushy hazard for the green approach shot. There are plenty of weeds, but cut low to not be much of a problem in fairways, or greens which are fast regardless. Will be back to play and highly recommend.

Compared to a few years ago it now looks like a golf course instead of a cow pasture.

The course has a nice tight layout and just the right amount of water but the overall conditions could be better. The grass should be mowed on the course. Should not have weeds 2ft high just off the tee box. Also it was 95 degrees out and the water stations were empty. Totally unacceptable in the Florida summer.

I really like the layout of this course. Condirion is average with weeds on most greens, but even with that the greens are surprisingly quick with mostly smooth rolling. Love holes 13 and 18. Fairways and tees have weeds but doesn't affect play. Was told that the course bond is expected to be paid off this year and the management will then start making course improvements. IMO this course has great potential. Overall would have no problem recommending this golf course.
