About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

Checked all the boxes…
It was my first time at the course, and I found everyone very accommodating. The variety of tee boxes made the course accessible to every skill level.
If I could change one thing, it would be to take the speed governors off the carts so that they could move faster; they were unusually slow.
Great course
On vacation from Connecticut staying on Ormond Beach this is a nearby course friendly staff friendly players. I show up as a single and always feel welcome. Relatively easy to play and very affordable.
They're getting ready for mid-season!!
Halifax Plantation is a nice layout with plenty of challenges to players. They are getting ready for spring. The grass on the range tees is getting attention. The greens are recovering and will be at their high speed best in several weeks. Staff is great. The pub is great. The rough is punishing. Halifax Plantation provides good value for the dollar, and a solid challenge for golfers at any level.

Greens are fast need some work to kill other grass growing on them.
Tee boxes need work but manageable.
For the most part fairways are good.
The course is well maintained and fun to play
I’m here on vacation at Ormond Beach. This is the closest course to my local so it’s easy to get to and not expensive. Staff are always friendly and professional..
Great greens
Greens were awesome. Quick, receptive and smooth. Tee boxes need some work. Grass sparse in some areas by this is February. 3:45 pace was decent. Sandwich at turn was good but you need to call ahead because nothing is premade. Overall my wife and I had an enjoyable round.
Halifax Plantation
This course had a very nice layout. The greens were very fast with numerous undulations added to the tough pin positions.
Greens held just fine.
Teeboxes would be the only minor complaint but perhaps it’s the time of year.
Fair test of golf. Staff were helpful and courteous.
Pace of play was excellent,completing the round in 4 hours.
Would recommend this tract to anyone.
