About
Bordering the Indian River, Viera East Golf Club sprawls across a landscape of sparkling blue lakes and native marshland that is accented with towering pines and cypress trees. The well known layout is considered one of the best and most affordable public golf courses in Florida. The course features large, undulating greens that are carefully protected by numerous bunkers and risk-reward opportunities that will challenge even the lowest handicappers. Although the course offers a fairly formidable test, beginners will be comforted by the wide fairways that have ample bailout room. Viera East Golf Club's eighth and ninth holes are a memorable duo, beginning with a short par 4 that is the best birdie opportunity on the course. The ninth is another par 4 with water all along the left and trees along the right. Both holes are made even more challenging with strategic bunkering along the greensides.

So so
The course has way too many choices of tees. What ever happened to red, white and blue. The course layout is fair. There is sand and water on most every hole. It would be nice to have course provided gps on the carts. The group in front of our group we called them the patriotic group for they had American flags draped over their golf cart and played very slow therefore the pace of play was slow. The group behind played up on us thinking we were slow. Over the fairway cut way too tight. Let the grass grow a little. Green rolled true overall for 61.00 it could be much nicer.
Fast greens!!
Beautiful day for golf and the course was a real test. Geeens were fast and my green reading skills were a bit off today. Not a good combination for scoring. Course was in very good condition all around. Tee boxes and fairways were all in great shape. I’ll try to play it again soon and play will improve to match the course conditions.

Viera East
First time here. Very nice layout. Pace was slow due to an older group in front of us. Beyond that perfect conditions. Fast greens. Price was decent for this time of year

Nice layout
Have been playing here for a number of years and have enjoyed the experience. While they have removed the GPS units from the carts this year in a cost cutting measure (bad decision in my opinion) the fairways have greened up and filled in nicely since the beginning of the year and the greens are fast and getting better every week. Course conditions are probably the best of all the courses in the immediate area. While a little pricey for the general public it still is worth playing (hint: book through Golfnow or Teeoff websites for a savings in greens fees).

Very nice course
My significant other and I played this course for the first time today. The counter staff and starter were both very nice. The starter introduced us , by name, to the other 2 guys that we would be playing with which I’d never had happen before. Nice touch !!
The course is in good shape with a good layout. Course is challenging but not so tough as not to enjoy the day. We will be back !!!
