The Golf Club of Cypress Creek

Our tee-off was about 20 min. delayed, as people who showed up late for their time were allowed to go out before us. We had to wait on some holes as much as 7/8 min. The course is very dry and some of the greens have rash. Overall it was a long slow frustrating round.

Very enjoyable round all be it a touch slow at 4.5 hrs. Staff very friendly. Lots of water and 🐊. Had fun

Single paired up w/ a group of 3 on a busy nice-weather afternoon. Playing partners were great. Front 9 layout is “crowded”, back 9 was much more attractive… although I didn’t get to finish. Teed at 1:45, partners dropped after front 9… as most groups (retiree-centric) did. I made the turn at 4:15… skipped over a 4some on 10 tee and at 11, finally found some space (and pace). I got to play 11-16 before it was too dark to finish, 4.5hrs from my tee time. Like PDP sister course BGC, pace of play is terrible and they don’t believe in Marshall’s. Guys at CH were solid and did a decent job pairing/ moving off the first tee but it was bumper to bumper from there. They do have improved carts (vs. BGC… coming in 2023), but GPS distances were all over between carts and group devices (carts proved wrong, +30 yards off on 9 approach inside 100).

Conditions were par, at best. Dead fairways that played soggy. Greens did not roll well. The entire front 9 felt like a low-budget muni, in every possible way. The back 9 felt like a course closer to the $50 weekday rate. If I got to play more than 6 holes of, I could be interested to come back, but the reasons I didn’t get to drive my takeaways. I won’t be back for over $25, or in snowbird season.

Course was in good shape and the weather was great.

Pace was a little slow. There was a single playing behind us and after the 2nd hole he decided he wanted to jump ahead even though the 4-some in front of us was also waiting for the 2 some in front of them. Instead of joining that 2-some, this guys simply inserts himself forcing us all to wait even long on the next hole. I called the office and the marshall came out and solved the problem and the pace picked up.

It was a beautiful day and perfect for golf, though I played poorly. Course is a little dry and a few bare areas but was still in good shape. Great layout and priced reasonably. Highly recommend!

Course was in OK shape except for some patchiness on the greens. Pace of play was very slow- took over five hours to play 18, and did not see any course rangers checking for groups ahead of us to speed things up.

Course layout was good. Tee boxes were in poor condition. Pace of play was slow. It took 5 and a half hour to play. Had to wait in almost every hole. There was a group of 5 playing in front of us. No ranger to be seen. Save your money and go somewhere else.

In a positive note, the staff is very friendly.

Nice course… need to put ball washers back and better beverage cart service.

Nice layout & in decent shape (except for unfilled divots EVERYWHERE)....however.....5 1/2 hour round of golf!!!! Like always 4 or 5 groups stacked up on 1st tee & no starter/ranger controlling people teeing off. 4 group back up on #2. Basically waited EVERY shot the entire day. 2 groups in front of us was a 4 some with a little kid riding along, who after the first hole they let play. Kid was driving the cart all over the course, running around the greens with the flag stick, and jumping in & out of bunkers...... simply playing like he was at the beach. We actually timed them on 1 hole & they were on the green for 14 minutes!!!! NEVER saw a ranger all day, and there had to be at least 2 holes open in front of them. These clowns shouldn't be on a golf course, they should be at a playground.. Simply my worst golf experience in 45 years playing the game. Doubt I'll be back.

Pace of play is a NIGHTMARE condition is declining due to the amount of play.

I've never left a review before but this course deserves 0 stars. The conditions are fine and the staff is friendly but the pace of play is AWFUL!!!!! I've played this course twice now and both experiences were the same. A 1pm tee time didn't allow for NEARLY enough time to finish before the sun went down. 3-4 groups waiting on every tee box makes the golf round absolutely miserable. Even the great weather couldn't save it. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER PLAY HERE
