Golfer Reviews
New Owners
I was a member a few years ago when the course was in fantastic shape. The old owners let it go down! I’m excited to see how new ownership can bring it back to one of the most challenging courses in the area.
Everyone there was great!
Nice course
I believe that the new owners are going to make a big difference in the atmosphere at this course. The course is in very good shape. The greens are excellent. The sand traps need a lot of work. I’m sure they will take care of them in due time. I live in Apollo Beach and plan on making this my home course. The biggest complaint I have is I think they over book and you cannot complete a round in 4 hours. Other than that I enjoy playing there. .
Back to Florida
Nice trac, greens were faster than they looked. Fairways were in pretty good condition.
Tee Boxes looked like they’ve seen a lot of play.
Overall good price for the conditions.
course has gone downhill
I've been playing this course for over four years, despite living 30 miles away. the design is very good, and the condition of the course used to be about 7-8 on a scale of 10.
but it is no longer at that standard. many of the fairways are is sad shape, and so are the tee boxes. the traps are little better.
I last played about three months ago, until yesterday. there has been a noticeable decline in maintenance in that time. very disappointing.
5 hour round
I would like to say that the price, the greens, and the layout are what keeps on bringing me back to this course. But they have to improve the pace of play. And the pace begins at your tee time. The last few times there I have tee’d off 30 minutes later than my scheduled tee time. The starter checks you in near the parking lot when you check in but they do not have anyone at the first tee. So it becomes chaos at the first tee. Twosomes going out, groups trusting others on their actual tee time. I think if they get someone at the first tee things will improve. I don’t think rangers would help since the delay is at #1
Cheap and it shows
Very inexpensive green fees but it shows. Greens were in average shape. Fairways were not good. Waited for 20 minutes of each shot. For the price it was okay. But save your money and hit a bar
Course can use a starter that is on the tee
Starter sent us to the first tee but as I was about to hit two women and two men question us being there and the a confrontation was the result
Very uncomfortable and will not return as the starter should have been there and told the ugly foursome to not confront other players which didn’t happen felt like it was out fault and staff did little to make me feel better
For this reason and course needs better conditions in fairways and tees along with overseeding the fairways would be a better value and pace of play is horrible as no ranger or starter is monitoring the pace of play it’s a bad choice
Overprice
The new ownership sucks!! Took six hours to play 18 holes . Would never play there again
Great course but…
I love this course I love the layout but I don’t know how they can charge so much given the current conditions. Greens are rolling nice but many have replacement spots and sand. The rough is meant to be longer and I like that but it needs to be evenly long, just letting it grow doesn’t mean is consistent from spot to spot.
Again I love this course and the conditions were not terrible but if you are going to charge $60+ then that place should be tip top shape.
Enjoyed playing here. Slow pace and folks going off on #10 made for an even slower pace but overall I would recommend playing here.
