Slow play. Short Wait for carts. Crowded. Perhaps space out tee times?
New Management
It was the first day for the new management company and they were some issues that happens when you first start. there were around 15 to 20 people waiting on carts. We had a 1:37 tee time, but didn't get off till 2:08.
I'm sure they will get on track shortly.
45 min wait for a cart and a 2 1/2 front nine
As my title pretty much sums up the round - a 45 min wait for a cart and a 2 1/2 hr front nine. We left after 9 because we had other plans. a fairly decent course but they really need to get people off on schedule and police the pace. a 7 minute tee slot pace is not the way to run a course. Hopefully Bloomingdale taking over will help..
Horrible
11:37 tee time. Tees off at 12/20. The had 7 minute tee times, one tee time at 11:22 and another at 11:23. No carts available plus very slow play. Avoid.!
Cypress Creek
Had a great time with the twosome who teamed up with us. We were scheduled to play with a twosome but they said they only play as a twosome. So we had to wait until after they were gone to start. A bit unusual, but the two who came who were after us, joined us and we had a fantastic time!!
Challenging greens
Hole locations were challenging, you miss and roll a long way. The course layout makes you use every club in the bag. I will play again.
Okay for the money
Course had nice layout. Sand in traps poor, greens were subtle in reads, but had some bare spots. Fairways we're not lush. Course advised restaurants closed but 2 carts on course. Never saw cart person.
Good Ole Cypress
Best course around for the money. Nice carts with the latest technology. Course is always tough. Greens were very quick. Food truck is always a winner. Pace of play is the complaint here. Back nine was way too slow.
Nice course
We took off after 2 pm, no starter , so we got in line and took off a little sooner than our tee time. Nice course layout. The golf cart have top of the line GPS , SO IT MADE IT EASY to figure out everything. I wish more course had this, it really speeds up the round.
We had to wait on most shots but we got done in 4 hours, very happy about that.
And there is some very big alligators out there
I'm worried
The course has been steadily declining this past 6-8 months, there quite a few bare patches in many of the fairways which is disheartening, when you look at how the course played 18mths ago. I know the course is being over booked, we went last week Monday and they had no carts at 1:30 in the afternoon, I've been playing there a few years now and that is a rarity to see no carts on a Monday afternoon. Sunday is by far one of the busiest days I believe for most courses, I find it deployable that they didn't have a ranger nor a starter. We were on the first tee letting players through so they could make a foursome. One positive is that the greens are rolling nice, even though they also have a few bare patches. I also heard Bloomingdale bought the course, so now I'm really worried because they allow members over there to run the the course, please don't bring that foolishness to Cypress. I'm just giving you fare warning, I don't play well with others who think there better than me because of a membership.
