We had a great time course was in great shape. Greens were fast with great cup placement.
Old course
The course sucked for the cost. Like a corn field compared to most affordable courses open to the public in SWFL. 50 dollars for this cornfield this time of year was ridiculous. Prior to the round I encountered the maintenance man leaf blowing the parking lot creating a massive cloud of dirt right by the range and putting green and I must have given him a look and he asked me if I had a problem. Very rude when it was he who apparently had the problem considering what he was doing and after the round as I was leaving a woman in a golf cart with a pull cart strapped to the back area with the wheels hanging off the side of the cart drove past me flying and the wheels of the pull cart hit my car putting a huge scratch it in. I turned around to find her but she was gone. I do not recommend this course considering the condition it was in. I golf 3 times a week in the Fort Myers area for the last 3 years and use Golfnow exclusively to book and review the courses I play almost always and this was my first negative review
Challenging Course
The course was in pretty good shape. T box’s really needs some attention. The whole course needs water. Very dry.
fairways tee box great shape greens very good with a couple with bare spots all& ALL GOOD VALUE
Wish I could give a better review
I wish I could give this place anything but 1 star, but alas I cannot. Showed up for a Saturday tee time as a solo, nobody got paired with me. First thing starter says to me is “you can’t play through” to which I responded “not even if I get waved through?”, he said no.
Fast forward to hole 2, the group tries to wave me through and I inform them that I’m not allowed. They were nice, but their pace of play was horrid - the group ahead of them was at least 2 holes ahead by the time I got to the 5th hole (1 hour and 20 minutes later). As I was pacing for a near 6 hour round and still waiting to tee off on 5, I asked the Marshall again - no playing through? He said no, so I turned around and left.
If the tee sheet looks ok, then by all means go ahead. I’m sure the course isn’t always this backed up, and the course was in good shape for the price, but their ability to manage a weekend crowds pace is worse than I’ve ever experienced.
Not Bad
Haven't played here in years, and all in all in decent shape, except greens being much slower than top notch courses, and how I prefer. They're quite grainy. For the most part, fairways had decent grass, with a few thinner spots here & there....just that time of year when winter rye is starting to die out. Bunkers had adequate sand & were raked out. All in all for the price, a decent value. Still plenty of trouble for errant shots...you do have to hit good drives to score well. Certainly not a Rosedale or University Park, but for the price, worth an occasional round.
Pace of play
My TTime was at 4:30. Shortly after we started we saw 4somes go by us on carts. All of a sudden we saw 2 4somes on the next tee. We were told a 9 hole league started at 5:00. Say what? Pace of play really slowed, of which was really not fair to the public paying golfers. We finally got through the first 9, and finished the 2nd 9 in the dark. 🤨 Why would you have a league at 5 when you have taken TTimes to 4:30? Course was decent, but decisions by the golf course administration sure comes into question. I paid for 18 holes with a TTime at 4:30, yet I was not told about the league until teeing off on hole #1.
Nice course, but
Had a 4:30 TTime and thought I would move along at a good pace. However, the course had league play at 5:00, with a shotgun start on each hole. Thus, we got backed up, which was extremely irritating. Why would you start league play with a shotgun start, when the public is playing. I could not get through the lst 9 holes in 1/2 an hour. Extremely disgusted that I was not made aware of this prior to payment. Got done golfing in the dark due to slow play on the front, and starting shotgun with the league at 5:00🤨
