Bull Run Golf Club

Tee boxes a little bare and brown. Greens needed to be cut and rolled. Probably 7 on stimp. Still top 5 muni in the area.

The staff were nice and attentive. The course, especially the tee boxes were in bad shape. Very little grass on the tees and if there was grass it was mixed with weeds. Overpriced. I would expect somewhere around 90.00 to play here during peak times. I like the layout of the course however. I will try again later in the season if I can find a deal to reassess.

The staff failed to keep the pace of play. Golfers were allowed to Play extremely slow. Open holes existed in front of us.

The course conditions are probably the worst that I have ever seen t this facility. Greens were aerated a little late leading to almost Impossible, putting conditions

I’m a huge fan of this course, the greens were very nice and fast compared to past rounds. Felt the course conditions were great based on being the end on winter.

Not only was it soggy in many places, but there were many dirt turds along the fairway.

Would have been nice to know they had ariated recently and it was so soggy as we might not have chosen to 0lay there!

Every hole didn't have the tee markers. It would been better if the Guys in front of us move little faster.

The course charged the range balls because we made the tee time through the Golf Now.

Got a hot deal through Golf now, and thoroughly enjoyed the round. Several very muddy, wet spots on many holes, but those could not be helped given the recent weather. Greens and fairways looked as if players were not repairing ball marks and divots. So, it was my pleasure to fix those things when/if I could. Pace of play slowed considerably on the back 9, with no Marshall activity addressing the issue.

The course was in great shape, It is quite beautiful and has some challenging holes. The staff is great, and it is conveniently located.

This course has pretty good course layout - each hole has different style and the view is good especially around this time of the year.

The down side is green is very slow. Not many divots but the grass is not cut shortly enough to make a good roll on the green.

Also, the course management staffs did not care players. They were blowing out the fallen leaves, which is necessary, but kept blowing them too close to us whenever we were on the tee boxes, fairways, or greens. It is very annoying to hear the sound of the blower right next to me when I’m trying to putt or swing.

The place is in great shape and the layout is really good.

Fair experience overall. If you are a beginner or an intermediate player, you may annoy other players if you do not keep up with the pace. Specially when you must use cart path all then time due to amount of rain in last week. This is a failure in adjusting tee-times to compensate for the use of cart paths vs. the size of the course.

It is a challenging and fun course to play. Staff at the club house was very picky. A gentleman when I was checking in almost did not allow me to play since I was not wearing a polo shirt. I was wearing long golf pants and a special UPF 50+ long sleeve shirt without a collar. I was not aware of have to have collar policy. It was uncomfortable but I was able to play. Need flexibility and do not pick on players that require a UPF attire for medical reasons. Also, wearing double shirts in a sunny day will be quite uncomfortable. Also, I saw many ladies that do not have polo shirts and have athletic blouses. Be consistent and use common sense before making players uncomfortable.

Since only cart paths were available due to the amount of rain in the last week, adjust tee-times accordingly due to the size of the course. Balance pace with size. Use metrics or sensors for that.
