Bull Run Golf Club

it is a very nice course.
it's beautiful and course design is not complexed.

fairway is wide. and greens are quite plain.

however, yesterday(11/13) there are so many fallen leaves on the greens. I was not able to put.

anyway, the course itself was good.

Bull Run is a fun course to play. I love its layout. I am glad the the course is being restored to its once great condition. The greens rolled nice. Another year or 2 it should be a gem again. Cant wait for that but its very playable right now.

The front nine was fine until I hit the back nine with a shotgun tournament. A variety of challenges.

Course conditions have deteriated in the last few months and the pace of play has become an issue here. No marshalls on the course. 4 3/4 hours this time and over 5 hours the last time I played. Still a good course that is golfer friendly.

Well maintained greens, fairways and common areas. A very challenging but fair course. Very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely play Bull Run again in the near future.

I always enjoy Bull Run but the design on 18 is the dumbest par 5 in history. I'm 60 and hit my drive in the 230 range. No par 5 should be Driver, sand wedge, 7 iron. The card says 493. If you play it right as a three shot hole it is 440 but forces a layup.

The course is in good shape with challenging holes. The 18th hole alone is worth the money. Go for the green.
The new housing development going on may affect the nice views and wildlife. I like it as it is now.

Course was in very good condition and we had a great day to play. I would definitely go back and play again for the GolfNow rate of $70. A little far if you live in the Arlington/Alexandria area, but worth the drive for the discounted rate.

Great golf course, watch 18th hole. The pace of the game is outstanding. Staff is very friendly.

The Raspberry Golf Group have, over the last few years, resurrected this golf course. The conditions are always above average.

One of the attractions of Bull Run is that you feel like you are deep in the country, although there are major housing developmnents nearby. The layout is varied and great for an average to above-average golfer. The clubhouse is nice and the staff is just plain fun and pleasant - always accommodating. (I just hope that they do not build too many houses near the course as the development has begun. That would spoil the attraction.)

Overall, this is a fun course to play and was in good condition. Only one green was in bad shape, but all the others were in very good condition. As to the layout, the holes have a nice variety. The 18th hole, however, is goofy. It's a dogleg left par 5 with a pond in the middle. So you are forced to layup with a 3-wood at most. Personally, I think it's a terrible hole.

This course offers several holes with challenges off the tee. Course is in excellent shape. Beautiful landscapes. I mostly play late aftenoon and enjoy the sun setting behid the Bull Run Mountain backdrop. Treat yourself and play this course!! Excellent practice facility. New electric carts. Cart path in excellent shape.

I played Bull Run earlier in the year and it was in great condition except for the fairway of #15. However, recently the greens are spotty and #15 fairway is almost all crabgrass. The layout is so good that I will continue to play Bull Run until it deteriorates beyond it's recent condition.

Course was very nice but arrive to a backup off the 1st tee and round was so slow spent most of the time in the cart. Did not even get in 18 before it got dark.

In my top 3 courses. All the Rasberry trail courses are great, this one is my favorite.

Nice, secluded lay-out however, this course remains in very poor condition (no better than when I played it 4 yrs ago) with some fairways completely taken over by weeds, low/no sand in bunkers, neglected mowing, inconsistent greens. Unfortunately, the course does not enforce pace of play either so it will play slower than what they tell you when you check in.
