About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Visiting Austin or live in Austin and want to get out of Austin for a round, don’t hesitate , it’s worth the drive. Just do it

Nothing special.
For me not worth driving for over an hour but I wanted to try new place .
Greens are in ok shape and very fast ,hard ground so runs forever.
Layout is average . Rough is so bad makes difficult...

Nice Course
Great layout, can be very challenging to score on but great to play safe easy golf on. Course was in comparable condition to many private $$$ courses.

Not good
So when you book it on golfnow the personal at the course has a attitude when you tell them that. Then when you get ready to play their is a noon group that Gomes off everyday at that time. There was three groups of foursome and two groups of fivesome. Also it was a five hours round so you can’t focus on playing cause it was so slow. An the marshal doesn’t do anything about it cause he play in there group also. A very unfriendly course. Oh and we had a 1:10 tee time

Had to cancel
Due to the rain storm s I had to cancel my round. 2 hour delay in course opening and only the front 9 was playable until 10:00 then course closed. Delaware Springs is a good course and value.
And on second note as a Golfplus member Golfnow staff was excellent at handling my request to cancel my 3 tee times and credit my account. Thank you. Always accommodating!!

Definitely worth the drive to get there!
The greens and fairways are in fantastic shape. Greens are very smooth and good speed. Even the bunkers were good despite all the rain we've had. The only down side was that they are remodeling the kitchen, but still sold good hot dogs and beer, and the range was closed due to recent rain. It takes about 1 hour to drive there from Austin, but it's definitely worth it for the conditions and value!

Great Golf Course
Travelled to play here with a group of 8. Tee boxes, and fairways were very good. The greens were outstanding.
Very fun hole routing. Pace of play hampered by cart path only day.

Sunday Memorial Day weekend
Pace of play started out VERY slow - 30 minutes for first 2 holes. Did not seem to pick up noticeably but total time for round was about 4 1/2 hours = still somewhat slow. Condition of course good, especially considering recent weather events. Worth a trip from Austin once in a while.

Pace
Never had this issue before but the rate of play was subpar, pun intended. Again, the men's bathroom inside the club house also reeked again. In the past few months, the course has not been as enjoyable to play as in the past. Hoping to see improvement.
