About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Beautiful course and conditions
Perfect conditions on fairways and greens. Keep it in play because the rough is thick and tall. Course Marshall came around and alerted us ito an incoming rainstorm. Nice touch for sure. The pro shop was well stocked and the restaurant food and drink was perfect. Great day for two seniors and their 13 year old granddaughter who thoroughly enjoyed her round. Will be back soon.

Great Track but PoP was not so good
My 4th or 5th time playing DS. Always enjoyed the course and it’s hard to beat the affordable green fee for what you get. Course was (and has always been) in really great shape. Very friendly staff, good food @ the grill, etc. On this occasion the ONLY negative was the pace of play. My wife and I were trying to play a semi-quick round before heading back home from the weekend. We found ourselves behind a large family of high handicaps and beginners. Nothing wrong w/ that, but they didn’t know course etiquette. We ended up having to jump them @ the turn. Then we immediately caught up to a couple w/ another beginner female that took 8-10/hole and stared @ 6 INCH putts for a lifetime. We finally skipped a hole just to get ahead of them also. The Marshall came around a couple times and was very personable, but could’ve really helped w/ pace of play by keeping everyone moving or aware of groups behind them. Only complaint. Rest was great.

Staff Training and Attitude Improvements Needed
Was on a 6 hr pace today and just couldn’t take it any more. Marshall’a will enforce all 4 cart wheels on the path, but they won’t move folks along or focus on pace of play. In addition, Marshall told me not to bring a cooler on the course , bit failed to even care that it contained medications for my diabetes.
I won’t be back!

Wonderful hill country golf
Another great round at Deleware, worth the drive out as always. Greens were a shade slower than normal but still very playable.

Great Scenery
The course is in great shape. The scenery is beautiful. My daughter snd I really enjoyed seeing the wildlife on the course, especially the deer. We will definitely play this course again when we visit in the future.

Great course to play near North Austin
Great course in excellent condition to play during the right weather closer to North west Austin. Would have benefited from a few water bodies yet well maintained course. Lots of Deers walking around makes it beautiful.
