About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

You can tell there has been a staff change
Lots of confusion with booking. Used GolfNow to book. Contacted course about Senior rate and was told they would honor, but just let them know when we checked in. When we checked in, we were told since we booked online, we could not get Senior rate. We were also told the Senior rate was higher than originally quoted. Pace was over 5 hours due to 2 wedding parties going out in front of us.

Nice Round
The course was in great shape. Enjoyable round like always. Very nice layout. We got a bonus with the airshow going on. Got see a lot of old planes in the air, along with some skydivers....

Great Greens, Challenging Layout
Delaware Springs is a very fun track to play,, definitely recommend. The greens were ultra-fast this week and ran true, a real pleasure to play. The fairways were in decent condition, given it's March in Central Texas. The customer service experience, however, left a lot to be desired. Every person we came in contact with, representing the golf course, made us feel like they were doing us a favor allowing us to play there. The customer service has gone downhill since Doug left in December 2020. Additional training for the entire staff is highly recommended.

Impressive Course!
Delaware Springs survived the Arctic Storm a like a champ. The fairways were green and gave up some good roll! The greens were fast today so be mindful
The course does have some surprises for those who have never played there. Club down and have a peek over horizons as some well struck balls will run through fairways...like I said, it was fast with a lot of roll.
Awesome experience and worth our hour trip there from Austin. Was scouting the course for an upcoming competition and I’m glad we did!

A diamond in the rough!
I had always heard Delaware Springs was a great course to play, but I had only driven by it on my way to Marble Falls in the past. Since covid restricted our playing options, our group gave it a try. We all agreed, we love the course. It mixes risk reward shots with safe options. The fairways are in great shape (winter conditions good) as as the greens smooth but with a degree of challenge reading the sometimes subtile breaks. It's well worth the 50 minute drive.

Love this course!
Fun course to play - pace is usually perfect and so are the conditions. One drawback is that they aren't on GHIN yet, so you can't post scores after you've played the course. Hopefully they'll be on the GHIN system soon. ;)
