About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

This course was in excellent condition.
Fairways and greens were in great condition. Very friendly staff. Excellent pace finished 18 holes in less than 4 hours..
Challenging course but with a few easy holes. It was a great day.
Beautiful golf course
Golf Course is excellent condition. Price is right, too. Worth it to drive 1.5 hours to play this course. Highly recommend it!!

Fun and challenging course in a country setting
Fun course. Not too many houses for a residential setting. Some tight fairways and tall rough of wild grasses and cactus. The greens are coming back nicely after proper seasonal maintenance a few weeks ago. Playable and challenging layout with rewarding risks. Well worth a nice drive to the country. The course is well kept and the staff very friendly. The food from the bar, especially the cheese burger, is pretty good. Great putting and chipping greens and driving range to warm up before the round.

The course is usually in great shape, but not right now.
Aerated greens without enough sand. The greens are not really playable right now unless you like putting on peanut patties.
I know this has to be done, but more sand should've been used.
It angers me that green aeration is not disclosed before making a tee time. It may not bother some players, but it does me. Not really interested in playing courses in this condition!

Slow play!
What an absolute joke! It was so slow, 3 to 4 groups per hole! I quit after 4 holes!!!! It was going to be a 6 hour round! There was no Marshall at all to speed up play! Yea you get a great price to play but had I known it was packed I would not have wasted my time! Also the greens had sand on them.

Nice gem
The course is about 50 minutes west from north Austin. It’s worth the drive as the whole course is in good shape. Greens quickened as the course dried and wind blew. Risk and reward if you can shape around the doglegs, otherwise play course management and you can still score.
The staff in the pro shop was great, they have a ton of items for sale in the pro shop. The ladies in the bar were very friendly and quick. Great value for the course.
Warning! Green aeration/punched scheduled for Monday 4/15 will definitely be back

Fun yet challenging course. The greens are exceptional and can roll pretty fast in the winter. Sand traps are in great shape and consistent in depth.
