Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Good value
We played on ML King day and the Course was full. We waited on most holes but still finished in 4 hours. At this time of year the fairwys were brown and dormant. The greens were fast and true. The lay out of the Course was fairly straightforward but interesting enough to play again. Bunker sand was soft and forgiving
If this course was closer I would play here everyday.
Great course
We played at 12:30 pm on Monday. We arrived early, hit a few balls on the range. We were a
allowed to get off early in front of the members. Finished in 3:15 hours. Had a great burger. Love the course and great friendly staff.
Best greens and friendliest staff in Texas
I golfed Delaware Springs with two brothers Friday and we again had a great time and were well served. Did I mention $1 beers at the clubhouse???
Great Course
Beautiful course and excellent staff, recommend to all golfers around the state and country
Awesome as usual
Great round of golf can’t say enough good things about this cours facilities and staff
Good Value for the $$$$
Delaware Springs is a fun track with some challenging holes. The tee boxes and greens were in really great condition. Fairways were decent. It is a good deal for the $$$, staff is friendly and the food is pretty good and reasonable priced. The pace of play can get bogged down from time to time.
Love this place
The decorated holiday tree near the 15th green made me smile during a poorly-played stretch of holes. It's these subtle touches that help make this such a great place to play.
This course is the best course in the area for the value
My wife and I have made this course our go to recently. The value, pace of play and the outstanding greens are all a part of why we love this course. It is always in really great shape! This is one of the best municipal courses around. It is a must play if you never have made the drive.
Great course
From the burgers to the bunkers great place to relax and play golf
Great condition, great value
1 drive from Austin was well worth it. Course in great condition and well worth the money. Only knock is that I wish it were closer to me so that I could play it more often.
Delaware springs
Course was great, two things stand out.
1. The sand traps were pristine.
2. Pace of play was a bit backed up, I liked how later back they are but the starter should be a bit more organized.
Home sweet home
I have been playing this course for the last 5 yrs. I use to drive from lakeway at least once a week. Now I live closer. This course is really a gem. Like the idea of not seeing other fairways as you play. Greens are always in great shape, new proper sand in the bunkers, and the aprons are trimmed. Now for the people behind the desk, they are great folks all of them. Treat you as a neighbor. As for the food, the ladies that work there are pleasant and make sandwiches and such that tastes homemade. One last thing, the addition of the pavilion, and they just finished laying down asphalt in the cart area and that really completes the package for this wonderful course. I wish them good fortune going forward. Thanks to Doug, Jay and Bear.

Sunny day , cloudy day, good round, not so good round,
Deleware Springs is the best!!!!
Best burger in town.
Outstanding
One of the best courses in this part of the state. It's a muny course but it's in better shape than most country club courses. I would encourage anyone who hasn't played it to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
