About
The Lago Vista Course is Lago Vista resort’s original track, designed by Leon Howard in the late 1960s and renovated by Dave Bennett in 1992. The golf course has four water holes, more than 40 bunkers, and dramatic elevation changes of up to 100 feet. Lago Vista is known for its demanding par 3s, which all go right at 200 yards. No. 10 is fun because it can be reached in two: a 495-yard par 5 with a creek that looms right.
Getting to Lago Vista: From Austin, take Hwy. 183 north to FM 1431, then turn west 11 miles. When you come to Lohmas Ford Rd. turn left and drive 3 miles, then turn right on Boggy Ford R. Veer to the right and follow the signs to the golf course.

FU for allowing this course to be open .
Golfnow is allowing you to book this course when it is unplayable. The greens do not exist. It is nothing but mud and sand ...Tee boxes no better. Absolute rip off. 24 people ahead of us quit. This is unacceptable to charge people for this.

Course Potential A+
The course itself is super fun and has its challenges. The potential this place has is absurd. Love everything about it but the Greens. You’d have a better chance holing out from 150+ than making a 2’ putt. Once they get the greens sorted out I’ll be playing the course regularly.

Pitiful
Already reviewed this horrible course. No grass on greens. Weeds in fairway. Still charging money for this pasture. I did not proceed past the first hole

For beginners iron and driver practice
This course is good for driver and iron practice only. Putting is not an option here .

Pitiful
There were no greens. Just a cracked dirt hole with a flag poked in it. I have never seen a course in this condition. No grass in fairways. Just weeds. Looked like a goat picked over pasture. No notice about course condition from the staff or golf pass. Very disappointing. Cannot believe I was charged good money for this terrible course. Shame on the course and golf pass!!

Poor staff and poor course conditions
The staff is very unfriendly and very quick to overreact and threaten to never let you play their course again. The greens are unbearably rough with patches of sand it was very overpriced for how the course has been maintained

Don’t Waste Your Time Or Money
I live on this course but normally do not play it because it is just not worth the money and because the condition is deplorable and down right embarrassing The only reason I played on this day was to see if playing conditions have improved at all and I was able to secure a Hot Deal T Time on Golf Now. Unfortunately the course is still in horrible condition and the Hot Deal T time I got was still o not worth it. Don’t waste your time or money.

Has Great Potential
I have played Lago Vista for the last 15 years. I live close by, I love the layout, but....... through no fault of the staff the course is always in need of attention. Right now for winter play it’s really not in bad shape except all the greens are dead. I use lago vista as my practice round when I’m short on time. I hope one day someone will show this course some love(money). Did I I mention they also have brand new carts with GPS?

Awful greens
Don't waste your money. The worst greens I've ever seen. Nothing but mud and sand.
