About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Biggest pet peeve is any course offering any tee time without disclosing a cart path only day.
As always, a fun and challenging course. I was very impressed with the conditions. Snow was on the ground for the previous week and the day before I played, it finally melted. The course was great considering the previous elements. I would definitely recommend this course, even during the winter.

Best the greens have been in years. There’s no saying they’ll stay like this for long, but if you have time to get a round in before the winter weather hits the area, do it!
Great round of golf
Played a round with my sons and we had a great time. Course was in great condition and the pace was excellent for a Saturday. Recommend this course highly.

At first, I was slightly underwhelmed by the front 9 - i thought the 6th hole with elevated tees was nice - until I got to the Par 3 on the 8th. One of the most enjoyable holes I’ve ever played. We don’t have many hills in the state I live in, so this was a really nice change of pace. Back 9 was absolutely gorgeous and I’m sure it was elevated even more by the fall foliage.
Greens played quick, fairways were manicured well, roughs weren’t too deep that I wasn’t losing balls left and right — overall, a really nice course. Pace of play got a little choppy at times, really my lone complaint
