About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Worst pace I’ve ever seen on a golf course
I started at 6:15 PM and got through 4 full holes by 8:45 and had to leave the course. I paid for 18 and got 4 holes because groups of 6 were ahead of me. This is my favorite place I’ve ever golfed and this has never happened before but I wasted all of my time as well as my money yesterday. Extremely upset about this
Bare Bunkers
Not what it used to be. Tee boxes worn, fairways hard as a rock and no depth of sand in the bunkers. So sad, was truly a great course many years ago. 5+ hour round.
Great course and great staff.
Can’t beat it. Golf Elks if you get a chance. One of the best courses in the area. Course is in great shape and the staff is top notch.
Great test of golf and tournament conditions
Been playing here for years, always in great shape. Other than the course, the proshop is well stocked, the bar has a good selection and the range is okay. Needs more targets to be a good practice facility. Will definitely be playing there a lot more!
Wonderful Course
To be fair, I’d like to start with I just recently started playing golf and have only gotten to play on a handful of courses. But this course in specific definitely is a mile better than everything else I have played on (I haven’t played legendary run nor stonelick yet). The course layout and nature around the course is absolutely stunning, especially the clear creak running through many of the holes. I would 100% recommend this course
This course has many great things
I attended Elks Run for my second round of golf ever. First of all, the course looked absolutely amazing. It is a great course for those who are new and trying to improve. But, there are also little creeks and sand traps around the greens that can make you pay for making even the slightest mistake. I would recommend this course to all my friends and I hope to learn and get better at this course myself.

Definitely my favorite course in Cincinnati. Little expensive these days but still a great value for the money.
