About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Great course layout, difficult but fair
Played here bunch of times. Not an easy track. Beware of playing early in season or after heavy rain. They close/don’t open the range if there was any weather which is unfortunate. Park by the cart barn and grab a cart for the clubhouse. Saves time!

Great Course cool weather
The course is in excellent condition for winter play. It is clean picked up and no leaves. Staff friendly and good pace of play.

Nice Course, HORRIBLE Cart GPS!
The course is good, with a linksy front nine and a woodsy back nine, and a few holes with elevated tees (which i really like). There are also no houses on the course, which is great.
My beef with the course is their cart GPS has ads--and not just any ads, but ADS WITH SOUND!!! I find it horribly annoying--like playing with someone who refuses to turn off their loud, obnoxious music. If I can't figure out how to turn off the cart GPS completely, I won't be returning.

Over Rated
I think it's way over priced for the value. It's a challenging course especially the back 9 with a creek basically running in front of most holes. The play is usually good, but horrendous 11/10. On hole 15 at the dog leg, there were 8 people waiting on the group on the green. No way any of them could have made the green from that spot. We had a group behind us waiting on us as well. I quit after this hole. Fortunately, I got a really good deal on Golf Now 11/10. I don't like paying the full price at this course. Fortunately, my friends do so I play.

Great time
Great condition.. played 18, cart path only, in little over three hours. Touch screen in cart was hugely helpful. Have always loved this course. One of the mist beautiful in SW Ohio.

Slow play
Front 9 moved along playing in 2:15. Back nine over 3 hours. Never saw a ranger. For trying to be a higher quality course it should have a ranger and monitor pace of play.
