About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Great time!
Amazing course and great condition! Only issue was pace of play and no one to control it. A group of 4 in front of me and my friend and never let us pass and made us wait every single shot then when we said something to them they wanted to fight us.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Comfortable
Pace of play was excellent. Very good at starting/rotating groups off #1 & #10. I honestly wish more courses did this!
Course is in excellent condition and the staff is extremely friendly and very appreciative to have you there and go out of the way to let you know that.
I'm a big fan of this course and I play 2x a week and always like rotating Elks Run into our course choices.

Nice course
Played from the blue tees on a warm/humid summer morning 8-12pm (June 2021). Greens were perfect. Fairways and bunkers were in good shape and well kept. This course is pretty and I love the picturesque rural setting of this course. My only complaint was the fairways were exceptionally wet and were quite spongy and even soggy in some areas. We haven’t had any rain in two weeks! So they must be over-watering. The front nine is open with lots of bunkers that come into play especially off long drives near the edge of the fairway. The back nine feels bunker-less in comparison but has more trees and the same creek running in front of almost every green. The stream in pretty but is always in front of every green which becomes a little monotonous IMO. But each nine has its own character and plays completely different.

Great Public Course
Elks Run has come a long way in the last four years. The course conditions have improved dramatically. The greens are fast and consistent. The fairways are properly mowed and the rough is managed to be difficult but playable. I was pleased my last round and hope the conditions remain this good for years to come!

Love the course, but …
$69? Um, no!!
This course was a great find and a pretty good value, and then with covid going away, they have simply taken advantage of folks wanting/needing to get back out to the golf course.
This course should never be more than $49. Period.

Simply one of the best
I absolutely love this course. Played here twice in 2020. And twice so far this year. It's simply one of the best tracks I've played since moving to Cincinnati. I would join as a member if I lived closer. Maybe I'll get out of the city and move to the country one day.

Elks run
Favorite course in Cincinnati. Comparable to stonelick but half the price. Loved everything about our experience there. Will definitely be back.

Very nice shape, friendly folks.
The Greg Norman design course is challenging and was in very good shape. Fairways and Greens were great, some tee boxes needed work.
The only complaint I have is the Gas Golf Carts are garbage. Ours would barely make it up some of the paths.
Overall a great course in very good shape. Play it if you can!

Almost a great course
The course itself was well maintained and fun to play, but it was the slowest round of golf I’ve ever played. Took 5 and a half hours to play 18 holes because we had to wait forever at each and every hole. Thankfully there was lots of shade so it wasn’t miserable. The water we were served on the turn also tasted like Clorox and burned our mouths and throats… but we didn’t die. Would play again on a non-busy day and just drink my own water.

Beautiful Course
Absolutely beautiful lay out. Fairways was nice and wide(which I needed), greens was kept up with and tee boxes in great shape. Will definitely be back!
