Kiva Dunes Golf Course

Really nice place to play. I joined up with a wonderful older coupleand had a nice afternoon. We even saw a gator. But when i got to the practice greens i realized that the greens had been punched a few weeks ago. The starter confirmed tell8n* me it had been 2 1/2 weeks. When I went in to the pro shop after the ro7nd I told the guy working the desk that”you have a really nice golf course here. I enjoyed it a lot.. Can I suggest you let people kn9 on your website that the greens were recently aerated. After all it is a $100 + to play here.” He responded by saying “its been over a month”. Which bothered me because I was very kind about my suggestion, even telling him I would be back. But to bold face lie to me when it is clearly not been a month. Thats just bad people skills.

One last thing, beware they allow 5-somes. In fact there were a number of them, which resulted in a 5 hour round.

Still a really nice track and worth playing.

Played this course while on vacation. Even though I only played nine holes, it was a great course! I would have loved to have played 18 but was limited on time.

I love the course, but at $135/ round, I don't play as much as I'd like to. It is worth extra no doubt. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is a great value IMO.

Interesting layout with some really unique holes. They recently aerated and the greens are not healing particularly well, though. Really bouncy and slow.

I could have tolerated that if not for an incredibly slow and loud group in front of us, who single handedly added an extra hour to the round. It seems like the marshals knew how slow they were playing and didn’t do anything to make them push their pace.

I wanted to enjoy the round but the pace of play, in addition to the aerated greens, really marred the whole experience.

My best golf experience ever. The course was in Excellent condition.

First time playing the course definitely will be back

Solid course. Good shape greens were medium fast. Got a good deal on GolfNow, not sure I would pay the rack rate

The only thing I can say is greens were a bit sandy, but really didn't seem to affect ball roll. They were smooth for sure.and quick.

Really enjoy course always look forward to playing when I can.

An absolutely beautiful golf course with great amenities. The natural beauty of the Gulf and Mobile Bay combined with an awesome setting make this a really great experience. The course is very well maintained and has interesting holes, no two are alike. One of my favorites.

Kiva Dunes is one of the best public courses in the entire Southeast. Greens were very well maintained and rolled true, very large landing areas and tricky undulated greens with lots of break if ball is not in ideal landing area based on pin placement. The course design is not difficult to manage for a first time player and practice facilities are top notch. Will return again next time in Gulf Shores.
