About
Faldo Championship Course at the Wildfire Golf Club measures as long as 6,846 yards, depending on which tees you're shooting from, and lies on 174 acres and features some differences from the average desert-themed golf courses. Faldo offers abundant fairways, big bentgrass greens and tee boxes, as well as the golf course's neighboring mountains, century-old saguaro cacti and 106 sand bunkers - which remind golfers of Aussie sand-belt golf courses, which gives it a magnificent locale for golfers.
Wildfire Golf Club is much-feted: When the Faldo Championship Course opened, the Arizona Republic selected hole No. 2 among the valley's 18 best. The golf course received recognition among the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golf's "World's Best Golf Resorts" for family getaways and in the 2006 Conde Nast Traveler rundown of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America." These are in addition to the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.

Great course, except...
Awesome layout, one of my favorites I've played in the Phoenix area. However, not sure if the grounds crew was having a bad day or simply found joy in placing every single pin 3 paces on, often on slopes. It's a great design so the questionable pin placements made it less enjoyable. Would still recommend this course -- hoping to play again and maybe pins will be more accessible / less gimmicky.
really fun desert course..conditions were good ..greens tricky fast at times
The greens were just punched and we’re in terrible shape. The rest of the course was in good condition for this time of year. But to pay as much as we did and the greens to be in that condition was a rip off
Great Shape - Bunkers Galore
Course was in great shape but there's 108 bunkers on this course. Be ready to try to avoid them at all costs. Overall a fun day, but I do hate bunkers so this was not the best course for me.

Great Golf Memories
The golf course was awesome and reminded me of Arizona golf courses of the 70s and 80s. The course all the risk for reward challenges that make the game enjoyable and satisfying. We’ll be back soon.

Paid 100 dollars which is fair. Greens were rolling at a 9/9.5

Play here inthe Phoenix Desert
The Faldo course is a great experience and a real gem in the desert. The course was in immaculate shape. Challenging but playable for an intermediate player. I enjoyed it very much. A little pricey for the morning tee time but I will be back for sure
Bunker Heaven
Faldo is a great course to play. Lots of bunkers and all are very deep so to play well stay out of them.
