About
Faldo Championship Course at the Wildfire Golf Club measures as long as 6,846 yards, depending on which tees you're shooting from, and lies on 174 acres and features some differences from the average desert-themed golf courses. Faldo offers abundant fairways, big bentgrass greens and tee boxes, as well as the golf course's neighboring mountains, century-old saguaro cacti and 106 sand bunkers - which remind golfers of Aussie sand-belt golf courses, which gives it a magnificent locale for golfers.
Wildfire Golf Club is much-feted: When the Faldo Championship Course opened, the Arizona Republic selected hole No. 2 among the valley's 18 best. The golf course received recognition among the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golf's "World's Best Golf Resorts" for family getaways and in the 2006 Conde Nast Traveler rundown of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America." These are in addition to the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.

Great course - bad service
We paid $350 per person to play and saw a cart girl one time on the 14th hole… The rest of the staff didn’t care and didn’t make anything right with us… The service for a top level course and resort was a pretty bad experience. The courses in great shape but the service was definitely not great.
Great GolfNow Deal Made This Round Possible
The Faldo Course is a great resort-style layout and is HEAVILY bunkered … EVERYWHERE. With 108 sand traps available, I visited my share of them. Overall, the Course was in excellent playing condition, from tee to fairway to green. The only complaint I have was that the speed of the greens was slow (at least for me). Pace of play was very good (a little more than 3.5 hours). The value was fabulous, given my unusually low price offered via GolfNow.

Fun round of golf
Great afternoon of golf.. Good layout with excellent conditions and perfect weather . Bargain compared with some of the other area courses. There is enough challenge to be interesting without being overwhelming. Fairways are reasonable. Not as much of a target course as some in Scottsdale. Very ebjoyable.
Better than expected.
3.5 hours as a 3some was tremendous. Many of the numerous bunkers are aiming bunkers. Playing correct tees is a must. Bunker sand depends on if close to green. Don't hit off the dark green, especially onto the pebbles.
Would play there again if given the chance.
Wow!
Maybe it was my time to get through a quick round of golf (3 1/2 hrs) without having to wait on somebody plumb-bobbing every putt or waiting to attempt a 300 yard approach shot to the green when they can’t even get past the forward tees on their drive. Finally! Out of five courses in five days, I saved the best for last! This course is absolutely gorgeous with flawless greens. By mid-afternoon, the bunkers looked like they had never been played in - smooth as silk and deceptively firm. I was in Nirvana.
Fabulous Course: Bogey For Service
The Course Is In Fantastic Shape, Pristine For February. Greens where True and Slick.... 11-12 on The Stemp. Great layout and Fun To Play. Avoid the Bunkers and Very Generous Fairways. Service Was Bogey- Double Bogey. They Forgot That I Was Waiting On The Range. Sent me off 40 Minutes Late and played the last 2 Holes In The Dark. VERY UNHAPPY About That. It’s A Very Pricey Green Fee, UNACCEPTABLE FOR THE PRICE....!!!!
Course in great shape!
Course was in great condition. Played in 4.5 hours so kind of slow. Greens were in excellent shape but price/value was pretty low, over $300!
