About
Faldo Championship Course at the Wildfire Golf Club measures as long as 6,846 yards, depending on which tees you're shooting from, and lies on 174 acres and features some differences from the average desert-themed golf courses. Faldo offers abundant fairways, big bentgrass greens and tee boxes, as well as the golf course's neighboring mountains, century-old saguaro cacti and 106 sand bunkers - which remind golfers of Aussie sand-belt golf courses, which gives it a magnificent locale for golfers.
Wildfire Golf Club is much-feted: When the Faldo Championship Course opened, the Arizona Republic selected hole No. 2 among the valley's 18 best. The golf course received recognition among the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golf's "World's Best Golf Resorts" for family getaways and in the 2006 Conde Nast Traveler rundown of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America." These are in addition to the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.

Beautiful Course
Played the Faldo course, greens rolled true, I do not think I've played a course with this many bunkers. It was awesome! I'll be back to play the Palmer course soon and compare!
Great Course!
Faldo did a great job with this course. It plays long and there are lots of mounds, etc., but I really enjoyed my round there. Very fair and playable layout. VERY generous fairways start to finish. There are lots of bunkers, but they have real sand unlike most other Phoenix courses and you have to play smart to avoid them.
Of course it is crazy expensive in the winter, but in the summer time you can play for around $50.
Amazing course, was pretty Windy on this day!!
Always loving playing the Faldo Course, got some mud ball here and there on some fairway but nothing major. It's was a pretty windy day, on some holes it's was blowing 2 to 3 clubs more. All and all amazing day!!
Greens was rolling true didn't break much on some holes, was a lite sand on them. Bunkers was well kept. Beverage cart came by twice!!
Slow round on hot day without staff support
We typically play this course in under 4 hours. Yesterday, with a temperature of 110F at the end of the round, it took 4 hours and 38 minutes due to the slow foursome in front of us. There obviously was not a Marshall on the course to move the foursome along and we did not see a beverage cart on the back 9.
Wildfire Faldo course
If you can handle the heat, then this place has you covered. 114 degrees made a 4 hour round feel 6 hours long. The staff was very professional and the course has a nice layout
Fantastic Course, Fantastic Staff
Played here with my wife in the morning, before the hot afternoon sun. Water on every other hole. Greens were in great shape. Bunkers were raked and nice to play out of. Fairways in decent shape and still green despite the heat. Liked the course layout and it as also fair to my wife who is a high handicapper. She liked it as well. Overall I would say that the course and the staff that work here make this a very enjoyable round of golf. Will definitely play here again.
Faldo Course
The golf course was in very good shape! That said I will never return to play the Faldo course. Nor will anyone in my group I might add. Course is very tricked up and tries too hard to be cute. I hit many solid shots that were not rewarded due to several small greens and tricked up pin placements.
Bunkers!!!
I was told there was 108 bunkers on this course and I found most of them!!!!
