Aliante Golf Course
About
Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Slow day
Very slow pace as usual here. Over 5 hours. Fairways and greens were in good condition, but tee boxes have seen better days.
Great views!
Nice course. Got it at a decent price. Not currently in amazing condition, but it progressively is in better shape the closer you get to the greens. When it’s in prime shape, this is an amazing course!
Cart shortage???
Got here at 1:50 and my tee time was 2:46. Was waiting for a cart along w the groups in front of me till 3 PM. I think they only have four carts for the entire course. I don’t understand what’s going on. Do not come here. Do not come here. Do not come here.
Vegas visitor
I liked the course layout. However the fairways were brown, Prob time of season. I liked the natural turf driving range. The mountain backdrop was pretty. Greens rolled nicely.. Pace of play was a bit slow waiting at 70% of the tees.& greens as it is a local course with a mix of golfer skill levels. Overall I would recommend after first contacting the course to determine best time to play so minimize issues of pace of play. Staff were pleasant, no special attempts to serve the customer.
Nice course but get ready for a 5hr round
GPS in carts are a life saver long layout of course between certain holes. Great views just almost all houses have no backyard fence causing any error shots hitting homes.
Burnt fairways
The fairways were in rough shape. All brown, dry grass. It seemed like either they were letting groups jump on or they were just jumping on without their knowledge because the pace was slow to begin with but definitely got worse as we went. The
Great time at Aliante
Weekend trip and me and my buddy wanted to go out and play one of the Vegas courses. Neither one of us have played Aliante, so we chose this course. Fairways were dormant, but still in good condition. Greens were a good pace, I would say playing at about an 11. Pace of play was a little slow, but we were a twosome playing on Sunday so it was expected. Staff was very friendly and very helpful (we both shipped our clubs) and they had them there in the pro shop waiting on us when we arrived and helped us back them us. Overall I will definitely play this course again, and would recommend it to anyone playing in Vegas.
Poor Pace of Play
I would have given it a higher rating but on the back 9 we got stuck behind a group of 6 and the pro shop did nothing to address it. So it resulted in a 5+ hour round and we barely finished before it got dark because of it.
Fairways, Greens, Value
Really easy course to get onto. I’d give the staff a C+ on Friendliness, the starter was fairly nice this time around. Their usual starter is a bit rough around the edges and isn’t too friendly. I’d give course conditions around a D; it’s a shame their fairways are “dormant” 10 out of 12 months of the year. Greens were green but fairly patchy with dead spots from moving the pin, tee boxes were a bit beat up, and all of them were off some sort of slope. Value for this course is a D as well. Painted Desert, down the road, is usually cheaper and course conditions are usually much better. It’s hard to justify paying $75 for this course when I can go to Paiute for $90 as a local. This isn’t a bad option if you’re booking last second, but I feel like this course takes advantage of that and charges high rates to just fill out their tee time sheet. Tee times are spread out about 8 minutes apart; typical round will take 4:30-5 hours out there. Starters don’t keep golfers accountable with their pace. I won’t say to stay away, but there are plenty of better options for this price point.
Great winter golf
A beautiful day and a course that is snoozing for the winter months. The fairways are dry but fast and every lie is a tight lie. The greens are in great shape although they don't look like it. Most putts roll true, and a pitch mark was pretty easy to make when you hit the greens. Definitely one of the best winter courses in Las Vegas.
Not recommended
Rock and roll AC/DC and every other annoying blasting from speakers at a golf course. Backed up play. Course dry, hard and needs water. Not recommending, for 70 dollar hot deal. 30 mins from strip 70 taxie, 50 uber return. I did like the views from the tips. Played tough rolled forever.
Fun Vegas course
Had a great experience at a nice layout course. Some of the holes have blind tee shots and can be confusing to find the "next hole" - Also has a good place to eat after the round, and nice and friendly staff. We will be back!
Some Good, Some Bad
The course was in good shape considering they are going to be overseeding in a week. The fairways were nice with very few bad spots. With the exception of one green, they were in great shape and rolled quickly. So, the course conditions were quite playable. The staff in the pro shop, bag drop, and on-course were all friendly and seemed like they were happy you were playing there. Pace of play was not so nice. We were a twosome playing behind a foursome of lady members. There was absolutely no one ahead of them, but they never offered to let us play through. It would have made their day nicer and ours, too, since we would have played in about 2.5 hours. Instead, we waited on every shot, and it took 4 hours or a little more behind them. Maybe a little more etiquette on their part is needed. Also, on one of the holes, my playing partner hit a tee shot that was well short of one of the ladies, but she felt it necessary to drive her cart back about 50 yards to pick up his ball. Really rude and unfriendly. It would have been one thing if we had hit into them several times, but we never came close to them all day. So, based on that I would not recommend this course, nor would I choose to play it again. It is quite apparent that the course has a lot of very poor golfers playing it. Almost all the houses had been pelleted by balls. We've never seen so many houses all along the fairways with so many ball marks. There really is no excuse for the number of houses damaged by errant balls on this course. I feel for the owners.
