Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Top notch
I play this course more than most and it's always smooth and in decent condition. Obviously the grass is brown it's the end of January but it's always in the best possible shape. The guys that work there are great and the course is clean.
Poorly Represented
Don't be fooled by the nice green golf course shown in all the pictures. The course is completely brown and dormant with no over seeding. I believe that fact should be communicated by the course when booking a tee time. The greens were also very rough and spotty. The course is probably nice in the summer, but it was like playing on a hay field. It's ok not to over seed, but please let the paying public know.
Review
They don't water the fairways. I don't like that. For the price of a round, they can afford the water bill
Wrong Season
Normally enjoy this course. Will be waiting for spring time to play again. Not much green left on this one.
Brown fairways
Unfortunately this is one of the courses that didn’t over seed for the winter
Fairways were brown with very low grass greens were in decent shape
Will have to play when the grass starts to grow back in the spring
Marshall gave us a bit of attitude about being behind , but there was no one behind us
Aliante Golf club
Totally yellow course with dead grass everywhere. Only 1 exciting hole. Greens not rolled. Had to load own bags. Nobody at bag drop. No Marshall on course
First time
First time being able to make it out. Course was very playable. Pace was kind of slow, but we enjoyed ourselves.
Great Value
The cold weather has affected the loft of the grass, so the fairways were super fast; very long roll after flight. But still a very nice course to play. One of my favorites in Vegas.
Slow play to an extreme!!!!
Five and one half hour to play a round of golf is NOT acceptable. Tee times 8 minutes apart….three groups on every hole except par three’s. Management did the right thing my giving our group a refund, will not play this course again.
Aliante
Course was in very average shape. Pace was slow. Played w 2 beginners and that didn't help much.
What a nice place
I got my dates muddled and we arrived a week late ! They honoured our prepaid round and got us off straightaway with no fuss . We are senior golfers ( handicap 11 ) and I played from the forward white tees . The course layout was perfect for us at 6,200 yards . For longer hitters there are plenty of tees further back . We got round in 3.5 hrs . Ed had a very enjoyable day
Great course and location
The course is in great shape and well designed through the canyons. I great value for the experience.
