Aliante Golf Course
About
Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Very playable
The course was in great condition. Challenging but not so much that it slowed down pace of play. Had to stay in the fairway or else rolled onto the waste but that is to be expected in a desert course. Would recommend.
Will play again...
Course lay out was above-average-neighborhood course,, a good challenge for intermediate players. Staff were okay.
Best part is its 2 miles from my house...
Great course for the price
Pretty good course. My only complaint is that we had to play the front 9 twice. Wish I would have known that before showing up to the course. Other than that, the course was in good shape.
GREENS COVERED WITH PEBBLES???
We just played this course 3 weeks ago. The greens were in fantastic shape. Today, they were covered with what looked like white aquarium rocks making it impossible to putt. At first we thought it was from bunkers but it covered every green, even where there were no bunkers. It looked like they did a micro punch but it was done in uneven square sections that looks like strip mining.
- They ran out of carts, same as last time
- Practice green was closed
- You have to stand in line for a spot on the driving range
- No warning about aerated greens
- Everyone just stands around waiting for a cart
- The poor cart guy is trying but desperately needs help
- There is no Starter - it's every man for themselves
- No Player Assistant on the course
- Cart girl drove into the fairway and stopped play so the group in front could get drinks and flirt. They were already a hole behind, each hitting multiple balls, then driving all over (including par 3's) picking them up.
This was an awesome course 15 years ago. If the City of NLV doesn't know how to run a golf course they should consider selling it to someone who will bring it back to it's glory.
A bad course to play during over seeding
Booked this online and there was no mention of over seeding, course maintenance, or other issues. This wasn’t even mentioned by the staff at check in. The putting and chipping areas were closed for maintenance, and the course was only allowing play on the front 9. We only found this out when we asked why there was a backup of a dozen plus golfers waiting to tee off and we were past our tee time. While playing, the course started dowsing the greens and tee boxes from huge sprinklers regardless of whether there was anybody there. Stay away for now, it’s a decent course most of the time.
Great Value
Nice course only about 25 North of the strip
Staff was friendly and helpful
Nice driving range but the balls were marginal
Lots of holes to practice putting
Course itself was in pretty good shape despite the hot weather lately. The greens have suffered a little
All in all it was a great day and would return
Excellent Value, excellent condition
The course is in excellent condition from hole 1 to hole 18. The pace of play was phenomenal. No group in front and the group behind was about 2 shots behind us.
The price for the course was great bargain.
I highly recommend this golf course.
Great value on golf now
Wide lush fairways. Lined with trouble (rocks/homes). But if you hit your driver predictably you should stay in the fairway easily. Bunkers protect greens. Greens checked up perfectly. And putts rrolled true. My buddy and I got a real good price on golfnow. I hope to play here again! If you want to see some of the course mark crossfield played it a few years ago. And it looked kept up just as well as in his video. Go play it!
Solid value
This was my first time seeing and playing this course. The fairways were immaculate. Lush and well kept. The greens were really nice, if I had any gripes it's that sand traps that were near flag positions all had a lot of sand on the putting surface. The greens checked up exactly how you would like. And Putts rolled true. You will use driver a lot. And it has very forgiving fairways. Miss one and miss the ruff = its unplayable 99% of the time. Rocks and homes line the fairways. Neither should come into play. The greens are usually guarded. And some holes force you to lay up. . . . Also be prepared for a par 3 233 yard hole if you play from the back. It's serious if there is any wind. Best of luck. I enjoyed this course. And it seemed like a value considering courses in its price range. I felt like it was golf money well spent. And I hope to get to play it again.
Nice course to add to rotation
Aliante is a good course to put in your rotation if you like playing different courses, Its very important to position your ball correctly. The staff was great until we ran into the angry cart girl.
A great experience
First time playing this course. From start to finish an great experience.
Golf staff - friendly and knowledgeable.
Pro shop - nice selection of gear.
Starter - very courteous, helpful, and full of good playing tips.
Course layout -- great for beginners or advanced golfers,. plenty of risk reward...as much as you like.
Fairways - considering the extreme heat, they were perfect.
Greens - like the fairways they were great considering the temperature hit 115 F during our round.
Bunkers - predictable and fair.
Grill - great food, super nice staff.
We'll definitely come back.
Not bad...
Aliante isn't the best, but it works for us and great staff!
