Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.
Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.
Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.
"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Good shape
Friendly staff and a nice course..Greens were fast but very good shape. Did need to skip a hole, 4 people could not get out of their own way and the chance of playing through was not going to happen, so inconsiderate. Not the courses fault
Nice round of golf
My husband and I had a 9:10 tee off time. Was right on time. Nice pace of play. We finished in 4 hours for 18. Greens were very nice. People need to remember to fix their divots.
Great course
Super fair course with good greens. They do a great job keeping the rate of play. Wide enough fairways with the right amount of challenge.
Stop in and play around.
Nice course with grass and water not just rocks everywhere. Great value and a wonderful staff.
Great beginner course
Very fast and open fairways. Wide margin for errors for beginners to just swing and let the ball just keep on rolling.
Great Father’s Day outing
Loved spending time with my step-dad. The tee boxes were very dry as well as the fairways. But the greens were very nice. I enjoyed it but for the price it was ok.
Fun course
I really enjoy playing this course. Staff is friendly and nice carts.
First Time at Aliante
This course was okay. We played from the gold tees. The fairways and greens were a little dry and hard but I'll assume that was because of the recent circumstances. We had some problems with the cart GPS but those are just a bonus to have anyway. Overall I enjoyed it and would play again.
First time playing this course. Would go back for the same price. Greens looked fast, but were real slow. Some nice views of Mountains
Pleasantly surprised
Championship level course, outstanding layout with roughly 7,100 yds from tips. Nice range and putting green. Good quality bent greens.... were a little slower than I expected, but rolled true. Bunkers and green complexes are major league. With heightened care, this course could easily be considered a top 10 course in the Valley.
too slow
no marshals today to control pace, people in front taking way too many shots. We left after hole 9. We used to love playing here but now we might wait for things to calm down before returning. as for positives, great price, well maintained course.
