Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.

Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.

Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.

"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

Play

Staff was warm and friendly and start times were prompt. I would say the course was not a bad layout and fun to play although the fairways were very hard with bare spots . Greens were fun and true Pole position was also excellent. It's a medium level of course that's fun to play and a good value.

Love the layout

Course I’m pretty good shape for this time of year. Bunkers could definitely need some help and greens were rolling nice!

Ok if you get a good rate.

Poor pace of play management, rude players, zero grass on driving range. Need to oversead fairways. Nothing green in March???

Happy with the course and experience.

The course was an interesting layout. I had family visiting from overseas, so the idea experience of moving through the course and residential properties being so close was novel. The golf carts are great with the built in GPS and course map/yardage. Overall, we liked the course and staff were helpful and polite.

not a value

We played the day after it rained and the front nine was closed so we played the back twice Therefore it was completely backed up. The fairway were not green but greens we're decent. The course should have offered us a discount for the inconveniences.

Great overall experience!

My friend and I like to get to courses early and relax. We were able to have a wonderful breakfast with great service. Then we used the very adequate practice facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful also. We went to the casino across the street after and had a good time there as well. It’s a great full day of fun all in 1 spot. I highly recommend everyone add it to their rotation of courses when playing in Vegas. I know we will!

Would rate higher if fairways were better

This would be a decent course if the fairways were not rock hard. They were all brown and ran forever. They tell us that this is the way it is every year, winter golf. We play in Palm Springs area many times in the winter and the fairway there are mostly green with grass.

Friendly and courteous staff though!

Course is not a top notch course in Vegas but acceptable for a game of golf

The check in and starter all very good and engaging.

Course was good but don't expect to be playing a real fancy desert course.

We have played here before and for an easy to book course we would definitely play it again.

Over booked and course was dead

Showed up at 11:10 for an 11:17 tee time. Not ideal I know but was told we had already lost our place and maybe they could squeeze us in pretty rudely. Teed off at 11:35 to play on mostly dead grass. Overall was disappointed. Played here before and it’s a really fun course when it’s in good shape

A Real Golf Club

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the golfing haven that is Aliante Golf Club, and I am delighted to share my overwhelmingly positive impressions. From the moment I set foot on the meticulously maintained grounds to the final putt on the 18th hole, Aliante exceeded all expectations.

One of the standout features of Aliante is its stunning course design, which seamlessly blends the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape with an engaging and challenging layout. The course offers the perfect balance for golfers of all skill levels, providing both novices and seasoned players with a gratifying and enjoyable round. Now that the growing season has passed, the Bermuda grass is dormant, which means of course the fairways are running firm and fast. The greens, however, are thriving, and they’re spectacular, bent grass in the desert! Players will have to control their wedges to keep balls from sucking off the greens.

The attention to detail extends beyond the course itself. The clubhouse exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where the staff's friendliness is matched only by their professionalism. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like a valued guest, ready to assist with any inquiries and ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

The practice areas are well-equipped, allowing golfers to fine-tune their skills before hitting the course. Additionally, the on-site restaurant offers a delectable array of culinary delights, providing the perfect way to unwind and relish in the post-round camaraderie.

In conclusion, Aliante Golf Club is a gem in the world of golf. Whether you're a casual golfer seeking a relaxing day on the course or a seasoned pro looking for a challenging round, Aliante delivers on all fronts. I wholeheartedly recommend this golf club to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable golfing experience. Aliante Golf Club has earned its reputation as a favorite destination for golfers, and I look forward to returning for another round soon.

Slow play

Was stuck behind two old foursomes wouldn’t let us play through no martial on course to regulate speed so the grandpas that golf here never hurry up. Didn’t finish the round would’ve taken us almost 6 hours to finish the round if we would have tried to finish terrible experience on a okay course.

Bunker Bound

The course was in good condition understanding that its fall and most of the grass is dormant other than the over-seeded areas. To me the most challenging part of this course is avoiding the green side bunkers. They are very deep and the sand is unlike any I've played before. It seems to be some kind of crushed rock that sometimes packs hard. I don't think it reacts like sand you find in the midwest or on the coasts.
