Not impressed
Course was in very poor shape
Horrible sand traps
Need to spend money on upkeep
Greens are perfect
The bunkers are still rough and many unkept, but the fairways are nice and the greens are absolutely perfect right now.

Recent play
Sand traps were in abysmal shape. For $100+ a round, your course should be in good shape everywhere. It is not worth the greens fee compared to other courses in the area.

You played after (and during) heavy rain storms that dumped over 3” of rain in a 3-day period and these did completely wash out all bunkers. When you played on Sunday there had not been time to return these bunkers to their normal condition. I waited to long
This is a great course and layout. Would be neat to see how close the holes copy the actual ones! The greens need some attention which is why I gave it a 4 star review. Ian and staff were really great. I hope to play again in a couple of months!

Great layout
We have had a lot of rain so course was soaked. Greens were in really good shape. Excellent layout. Very playable.

Needs new management
The course layout is amazing. However, there is not a single bunker in even halfway decent condition. I’ve played 3 times and everytime the course is slap full with 4:30+ hour pace. Yet somehow they don’t have the funding to renovate the bunkers. Greens are a good speed and look good, but they hop and skip around enough to make 6+ footers a long shot hope. Epic layout, disappointing shape.

Really happy with the course!
I play golf all over Atlanta and have pretty much seen them all. However, Bear’s is one that has been on my radar for years but just never got around to playing it for one reason or another. This was first time playing it and I was very pleased with the layout and overall condition of the course, and actually kind of bummed I’m just now seeing it for the first time. There was a frost delay of an hour, but the shop called and communicated that to me, so not a big deal. Pace of play was a bit slow, but the weather was perfect so kind of expected. I will be back

Great Staff and Course
Ian (General Manager) and his team do a great job to make everyone feel welcome while experiencing a great course to play golf. From the bar staff to the folks in the pro shop, very friendly and helpful. Appreciate all these folks do to create an enjoyable atmosphere.

Has a great time at BearsBestATL. Excellent staff both inside and outside. Only issue was the numerous ball marks on every green. Will be back again

Pace of play
The pace of play was horrible. Tee time was 11:40 and didn’t get a chance to tee off until 12:10. Took 3 hours to play 7 holes. It was brutal. I was so disappointed after spending that much money

Thoroughly enjoyed this golf experience
This is a bucket list course, if you ask me. What a great idea to build a course with 18 holes of some of Jack Nicklaus' favorite designs. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only reason I didn't rate the course 5 Stars is because it doesn't seem many golfers are willing to repair their pitch marks.

Great course
Bears Best never really disappoints. It got a little slow at times so a little hard to say it’s worth $100 for a 4.5-5 hour round but really enjoy the layout and shape of course. Would suggest trying to book one of the earlier tee times.
