Bear's Best Atlanta

Really enjoyed my two rounds this week, course really well maintained and setup great for golfing with my son. Compared to 4 other rounds of similar cost in Atlanta and this clearly rivals TPC Sugarloaf.

The layout was awesome and very fun. The greens and overall course conditions were the best I have seen at Bears Best in a couple years. The management has been working to continually improve and it really shows. Greens are very nice and consistent. My biggest complaint in prior years was that all the greens had TONS on non-repaired ball marks. That has been fixed and the greens were rolling quick, true and smooth. Kudos to the maintenance crews and greens keepers.

The course has everything you could want as far as golf with very nice driving range, chipping and short game area, two practice putting greens and nice, well-stocked pro shop. Pricey course in a very fancy neighborhood. The biggest houses I think I’ve ever seen on a course.

The carts have GPS but also have speakers that and play satellite radio stations or can connect to your Bluetooth which was very enjoyable. The carts also have a section with “tips” you can reference that has non other that Greg Norman giving you tips on your game if you need it.

The course is very challenging but forgiving. There are lots of elevation changes. If you haven't been in a while or have not tried Bear's Best, I highly recommend you do so. You will not be disappointed.

No hassles! First class from top to bottom. Course in great shape; staff friendly; practice facilities great! Challenging course, but fun. I will return!

We played today. The overall experience was good but we feel like we were charged extra for carts. When we booked the tee time online it said the charges included carts but when we showed up we were told that we have to pay.

We were in a rush to get started and ended up paying. Other than that we had a great time.

Always enjoy this golfing experience! First class operation. Course in great shape. Greens are excellent. No complaints, all good. Will return as often as possible.

Always enjoy playing the course. Very nice hospitality as always. I do feel BB may be a little pricey compared to others in the area but it is always in good shape and the people are always very nice

Course was in great shape. And yet again, you receive what you expect to receive when you come to play here. Not disappointed.

I played bears best for the first time and it was overall a very nice course. The layout was awesome but it should be considereing the name lol. Course conditions was ok IMO. Fairways seemed thin to me but greens are nice and consistent. Rest of course was decent shape, just the fairways seemed tight to me, I preferred to hit out of the rough actually. Had everything u could want with driving range and great pro shop. Pricey course in a very fancy neighborhood. The biggest houses I think I’ve ever seen on a course lol. Glad I played but would prob try some other courses in the area for what you pay here.

This is one of the strongest daily fee options in the metro area. The layout has always been solid but conditions are truly superb right now. The greens are the best I've seen them in years and the management has been taking steps to continuously improve the course and amenities and it shows. I teed off at 5PM on a Monday afternoon and was done around 8. If you haven't been in a while or have not tried Bear's Best, I recommend you do so.

Fantastic course. First time playing and even though it was cart path only this is rated amongst my top 5 most enjoyable rounds and I didn’t even play as well as I could have. Conditions are great and layout is wonderful. Something the description said is actually true, it is difficult yet forgiving. There is enough room for your ball to move a lot either way but yes, if you hit a really bad shot you will lose it. Greens are great, the ball will stay true with speed but once it starts dying off in speed the break will take it from going into the cup, they are sneaky but roll true. The course does not come back to clubhouse after 9 so either stock up or make sure the cart girl is out there. Nice clubhouse, nice scenery. Just a great time, I had planned on making this a one time trip because of the drive up there but will definently be going back. The ONLY downside is that they have stopped with the Covid-19 precautions!!!! They are putting 2 people to a cart and DO NOT have anything in the cup preventing the ball from dropping all the way in. The only 2 employees I saw wearing a mask was the pro shop attendant and the bar tender. It’s something to consider and at least to know of before you go. I wish they wouldn’t have relaxed the precautions so soon.

Everything was top notch from the staff to the condition of the course! I was thoroughly impressed, a severe storm rolled in halfway through our round and we were provided a rain check for 9 holes! I will recommend to any and everyone and I hope to get back soon to play another round!

Played this course 2-3 years ago and it was absolutely amazing! And was super excited to come back and play here again, especially since it was my friend’s birthday. Today not so much.. Tee times were stacked up and had to wait on two groups ahead of us and had two groups waiting behind us at pretty much every hole. My group of 4 got there roughly 30-40 minutes before our tee time to hit the driving range for a bit and warm up since we are all rusty and haven’t played in a while. Got to our carts and the starter told us to grab our stuff and get ready in 5 minutes or less since we were up next after paying for 2 large bags of range balls that we didn’t even use... the course itself looked good (greens needed a bit more work on) but overall was good; but the stacking of tee times and having having to feel rushed every single shot ruined the outing today and makes me a little hesitant to come back again for a while at least.
