You will have a great time. May be slow but enjoy playing a great and pretty course.

The course was in good shape and played well. The greens held shots well. A bit slow at 5 hours. Which is attributed to the shotgun, I hope. Definitely will be back.

My wife and I played Bear's Best on Friday, November 21, 2014 and we were very impressed by the course and the staff. It is a very challenging golf course that makes you use every club in your bag. For November, the course is in great shape and the greens are in excellent. The staff is friendly and since we teed off at 2:00pm the rate was excellent for this course. Bear's Best is one of the best courses I have ever played and I look forward to playing it again. I would highly recommend it.

If you want to play a well manicured course with fast greens, this is the place! Jack designed a nice layout with his own favorite golf holes from courses around the world (that most of us could never afford to play)!

This course is absolutely beautiful. My friend and i scored a great hot deal and played for $45 (best course anywhere for this price).

Black sand elegantly cascades the bunkers on hole number 4. Cross mowed fairways stand between you and beautifully rolled greens, that are both, soft and true.

Staff was very friendly, from the proshop to the cart girls. In my opinion, its a bit pricey regularly but if you can get that great deal, or can afford it, you definitely will not be dissapointed!

This is my first review I've ever written for a course, but after I played Bear's Best yesterday I felt compelled to do so. I had been trying to play this course for a while and finally found a hot deal on GolfNow for $33.

The course lived up to its expectations. Great fairways, greens were true, and the upkeep was one of the best I've seen. Would definitely recommend this to another golfer and I will go back there again soon.

This was my first time playing here and I had an image in my mind that this course was super nice. It was ok but not great. The greens were a little Sandy and slow and the Fairways were VERY soggy, lots of plugged balls. It was a good deal since I was able to cash in a golfnow.com rewards but considering that this course is an hour drive and there are several other courses that are much closer and just as nice for less I don't see myself playing this course again any time soon.

The greens were a little beat up from excessive play and the summer heat which is to be expected this time of the year. Given the caliber of this golf club and the $$$ they demand range balls should be set up for players. Bagged range balls is expected at a low cost municipal course.

Course in great condition. Staff friendly and helpful. Great layout...challenging, but doesn't wear you out. Will definitely play again.

Love this course from the service of the employees and the cleanliness of the course and facilities. This is a must play and appreciate.

I played here for the first time with my Parents on a Monday. The course was in great shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were 5 choices for the tees and we each played from a different one. "Tee it forward" indeed. My only complaint is the signs for the upcoming holes were not very visible, so you may end up playing 19 holes like we did. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

For $51 this was a great value for a Jack course on a weekend. The pace of play was very slow but other than that it was a great experience.

I would recommend this course to golfers of all levels.

Had a awesome good time playing golf with friends on the very challenging golf course at Bears Best. A definite must play golf course !

Everything was excellent except for the late day lumpiness and slow speed of the greens. Even that wasn't that bad. It also suffers - as do all courses these days - from inconsiderate players who don't fix their divots.

Played in the spring scramble and again this summer scramble event. Course puts on an excellent event and too bad there were not more teams. For the price, quality of the course and facilities, it is hard to beat it. Course in excellent condition but I would have a hard time playing it at full rack rate. For those that can afford it, you do get an excellent experience.

This was my first time playing Bear's Best and I really enjoyed it. Course was in great condition and I loved feeling like I was playing on those famous holes. I will be back to play again!

The pace of play at the course is horrible every time I play there. There are no marshals on the course to encourage slow groups to pick up the pace or to allow faster (smaller) groups to play through. 5 hours to finish on a Thursday afternoon is just insane!

This course gets a ton of play and the greens are usually kept SLOW and are always beat up. The earlier you play in the day the better off you are. If you tee off late in the day, good luck making anything outside 5 feet.

I love the course design and layout. It was a much nicer and enjoyable course to play when it first opened. Now you can expect 5+ hour rounds and extremely bumpy/slow greens.
