Chans revenge is that you have to tee it up in a barren wasteland. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

I didnt see in the yardage book that theres actually a hazard short of 10 green, I must've missed it. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

It's your "lucky day" at #12, advance up 150 yards from the tee, making this par 5 a poor excuse for a par 4, but do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

On #4 the bunker, the fairway, the greenside rough have combined forces to become one super bunker. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

So, Mr Deer Creek staff member, you're trying to tell me all the courses in the Metro Denver area look like this... yeah.. sure. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

Under New Management
The course is currently in bankruptcy, but the only sign of that is in the pro-shop due to the very limited selection. The driving range is currently closed while the protective nets are being repaired.
Course condition is actually pretty good, and in decent shape. This is the second time the course went through bankruptcy, and this time the new management is really taking care of the course.
My only complaint was the cleanliness of the men's bathroom. There is a very strong urine odor.
Deer Creek
Course and greens were in great shape. Pace of play was very good but it has been so on a few other occassions.
June review
Fun, challenging course, but not very well marked in general
Landscape challenging
This course is very tough due to the landscape that it surrounds. Some holes are difficult to judge because of the landscape of swamp, trees, water etc.
True golfers need to read
This is a hard course for beginners but if you don't lose golf balls you can easily shoot a great round very short par fives and short par threes and fours. But the greens need to be mowed properly. The greens grew might as well mow the greens with the fairway mower cuz there was little difference. Greens are running slower than shag carpet and bc it's so long foot prints become a major issue and don't get true putts or lines. Other wise great course. Also they won't have food carts during week and only one on Sunday so prepare for little service on course. If they don't want to sell us food and drinks then maybe we should bring our own ;)
First timer
Have seen this course many times passing by on c470 and heard some good things about it. Am disappointed to know that the course will be cut down to a 9 hole course as I would have enjoyed playing it again.
Demanding course
Course conditions are excellent. Contours of some greens and many fairways are more severe than most public and even private courses in the Denver area. It is tempting to think that's part of building the slope and rating for the course, which otherwise would be quite a bit lower. That's okay for competitive play but makes a round there more demanding than most golfers will want in casual play.
The staff is top notch. Right now the driving range is closed for net repair, so check on that if a warm-up half hour is essential to your enjoyment.
Good value for the money
Overall a good value for the money. Greens a little slow but rolled well. Played back tees and good shotmaking, challenging course. We will go back this summer.
Deer Creek
A fun and challenging tract, however it appears the course may have some financial difficulties? No beverage cart, greens fuzzy and slow for this time of year, etc. Tuesdays generally "ladies club" no club activity? Hope this is not the case because we really like the coudrse
fun fathers' day
Really fun course in great shape! Has some challenging holes, but also some very attackable holes.
Needs some work to be a high end course
The course its self was really in great shape and challenging. The staff said it was under new management and if they want to keep charging $70-$80 per round they need to have better food and not run out of half the items on the menu. We did not see a single beverage cart all day. Also hitting off of mats on the driving range this time of year is uncalled for.
Deer Creek
Everything was great except the pace of play. I would expect to play a 5 plus hour round on the weekend but not on a Monday morning. The course was in great shape however.
Nice foothills course
Staff was extremely friendly. Actually got off about 9 mins. early. Round took 4:20 which is good as it was in the afternoon on a Sat. Course was in very good shape. Definitely a ringer for the price. Can't express how friendly the staff was. Read reviews beforehand about the 470 traffic but if you're in the zone it not noticeable or distracting at all.
Stay in fairway
Course is great. Big sign when you enter clubhouse no outside food or beverage. There was no cart service and then at turn they were out of a lot of items at snack bar.
beautiful day of golf
I had a fantastic time at deer creek this past Wednesday. The weather was great and so were the course conditions.
Recommend this course
Course was in great shape and was very challenging as you need to keep it in the fairways as it has lots of native grass areas you can not go into!
Great course, slow play.
The course is kept in great condition, greens roll smooth. We played from the tips, and it was much more difficult than we thought it was going to be, i would recommend not playing the tips unless you are under an 8 handicap.
The only negatives I had with this course was the pace of play, it took us 5 and a half hours to finish our round, no rangers drove by even one time. This was mostly on the front, once we got to the back nine It started speeding up slightly.
Overall great course, great views, great conditions and very challenging.
Great course
Conditions are great at this course and the staff was very friendly. The greens are a little slow and the only other complaint would be that the flags are all white there is no way to tell if the hole plays to the front or back.
Outstanding golf course, good value
Other than shaggy greens - gotta' mow those bad boys - a delightful round of golf! Course is in great condition.
