I didnt see in the yardage book that theres actually a hazard short of 10 green, I must've missed it. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

It's your "lucky day" at #12, advance up 150 yards from the tee, making this par 5 a poor excuse for a par 4, but do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

On #4 the bunker, the fairway, the greenside rough have combined forces to become one super bunker. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

So, Mr Deer Creek staff member, you're trying to tell me all the courses in the Metro Denver area look like this... yeah.. sure. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

Course needs more attention
I played out there Saturday afternoon and it was a hot one. The course was in decent shape but the water jugs were empty. We saw the cart girl twice and if you didn't stock up on water or gaterade then you were out of luck. Get those water jugs filled up.
A shorter course that is still a good test
Deer Creek is playing very well right now. The recent rains have really helped the course. The fairways are in nice shape, and the greens are doing very well. The greens were slower than what I am finding on other courses this year, but that may be due to an abundance of rain. The greens are very soft, so it is easy to go at the flag with a nice high approach since it will stop pretty quickly. There were more unrepaired ball marks on the green than I like to see, but I fixed a bunch and hopefully others will do the same. The fairways are in good shape and well maintained. Roughs are too punishing on several holes. 5 inch rough 3 feet from the green is a little excessive and given that most holes have many layers of defenses, it is really unnecessary to keep the rough like this. Lots of water and wet land challenges on the course. Accuracy is rewarded over length. There was even one hole that I teed off with a 7 iron on a par 4 due to the layout of the hole. Risk seems to balance well with reward, so there are some very scorable holes on the course. All in all, a nice track.
very enjoyable course
Not many treats but very nice looking holes with lot of natural landscape
slow play
quit playing on 14 due to slow play, group behind kept hitting into us. Tees placed behind greens you just finished. Blind shots aplenty. Also was told by ranger there are no rainchecks.
Challenging & Tremendous Value
Short of paying 3X the price at courses South of Denver, you will not find a more challenging, pristine golf course in the metro Denver area. Deer Creek reminds me of the courses I grew up on in the Southeastern United States relative to others you find in Colorado- demanding and rewarding accurate golf shots to landing areas from the tee and approach shots into the green. Played from the tips, the course is 7019 yards. Not just a driver/wedge course as are many of the courses in the high desert region. You must think your way around this course to score well.
Immaculately maintained and staffed by friendly professionals.
Course is in great shape. Layout is a bit quirky. Extremely slow pace of play
Course is in great shape. Greens were rather slow. Pace of play was slow that it was distracting.
Fairways were in good shape, greens were slow
Greens were a bit slow, but the fairways were in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were up a little.
Challenging and well-maintained
Our foursome enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, despite poor weather. The course had a great variety of features, and the staff were friendly and professional.
Good condition, but lack of needed yardage on course.
While the fairways and greens are spectacular here for the price, there is a serious issue in lack of showing players the pin location in some way or form. Thier is no GPS, the flags are all the same color, and there is no chart on the cart for pin location. For a moderate priced course I expect these things (not GPS but at least some guidance). Each time I have played here this season (4 times so far) I have thought the pin appeared in the back/front, hit a killer shot to what I thought was the right place, then had a 30+' putt. As a 12 handicap this is very frustrating.
Please find some cost effective way to tell your players where the pin is located on the green. This should not be a difficult thing to do cheaply. Colored flags, or at minimum a chart (your carts have the plastic display for them) on the cart of where the pins are for each hole.
Other than that I find the clubhous, the staff, practice facilities, and the course very nice for the price.

Very nice course, great value
Course is rewarding if you get off the tee well. Some very challenging holes that take quite a bit of strategy. Greens were true. I can't think of too many courses around Denver that are as good of a value.
Challenging as always.
The front nine is the big challenge with the back nine still in the game. Fewer opportunities to recover on the front nine, which is what makes it fun. It got a little slow on the back nine for some reason as the foursome in front of use slowed.
The course was in good shape, a little mushy around some green from watering, but I was there first thing in the morning. By late morning, everything dried out. The greens were is really good shape and rolled nicely.
Over-all, with a early morning fees bargain, a great outing. Even at regular price, it would have been worth the green fees.
Great place
Staff very friendly, course is in a great shape. Will be back for sure!!!
Fun
This is a great course with challenging holes, not boring. Nice scenery.
Excellent course, great value!
The course's fairly open and continuous slope to the right makes it challenging for a person with a fade off the tee box (me). Even the fairways tend to direct balls to the right. However, the great course condition, the reasonable price, and the quick pace of play makes Deer Creek a great value. The green were in great shape and so were the fairways. tee box were a little beat up but not terribly bad. Occasional wind gusts and quick rains add adventure to most rounds.
A Very challenging round of golf.
Deer Creek is a very challenging course. One MUST drive straight to avoid trouble on both sides of most fairways. Most bunkers are hard packed and seem to be covered with pebbles. Very few of the sand traps have soft sand. The greens undulate and your putting speed has to be precise to get it close. Many greens are surrounded by marshland. Club selection for distance is very important. Bring lots of extra balls.
This course is a great venue to hone your game.
Hillary, the refreshment cart girl, is lovely and a nice, pleasant, break from the pressure of the course.
Overall, an enjoyable round, even though I did score 4 snowmen!
Risk reward, accurate shots and distance control were key to this course. The course was fun and challenging but not impossible.
This course required focus from the start. Accurate shots were rewarded particularly on the par 5s. There was no recovery from shot that were to wide on the trouble side. There were very few flat lies however, the greens were receptive to good shots. Challenging to play but the different tee boxes offered a fun opportunity for all levels.
The course need some attention!
I have played this course numerous time in the past but this was the first round this year. Typically, this is a great course so I invited someone who had never played it. Both of us were extremely disappointed with the condition of the fairways(brown) and also the greens(incredibly slow). These greens usually run at a good speed and it was about impossible to putt or chip a ball all the way to the hole today.
Challenging course. Nice staff. A few lost balls in the marshes!
Staff was nice upon arrival; however, the carts were dirty and unkept. The first cart we tried had golf balls shoved into the ball cleaner with no water. All carts were dirty.
