Chans revenge is that you have to tee it up in a barren wasteland. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

It's your "lucky day" at #12, advance up 150 yards from the tee, making this par 5 a poor excuse for a par 4, but do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

On #4 the bunker, the fairway, the greenside rough have combined forces to become one super bunker. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

Still early spring and course a little dry, but in good shape.
This is a great course...will punish you if you make mistakes.
this course offers you a challenge that require target golf to keep a good score
you can get on this course at just about any time you want. the staff is very friendly and eager to please. the course is always In very good shape and should appeal to anybody with all the different tee boxes for every level of golfers.
best shape course has ever been in!
Best shape course has ever been in! Greens run fast and true fairways are lush and the tee boxes are perfect.
Bad greens, worse pace of play
I only play this course because it's inexpensive and close to home. Deer Creek has some of the worst maintained greens around - soft, slow, often wet and obviously lots of nasty ball marks. The only thing worse than the greens is the pace of play - even mid-week you'll be lucky to play in five hours. You never see a marshall to help pick up the pace.
The layout is pretty fun and challenging which makes it a bummer that the greens are so bad and the pace is so slow. There's one stupid hole which is a short par four with a forced layup. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy laying up with an iron off the tee, but if you don't hit your tee shot into a pretty small landing area you're screwed by a bunch of tress in a ravine between you and the elevated green.
All said, I will go back, but only because you can get a good price and it's close to home. I would never take an out of town guest here or recommend anyone drive more than 15-20 minutes to play it.
Great Course in great shape
I love playing this course. It is challenging but fair and always in great condition. Staff is friendly. You can take the carts in the parking lot (I love that). Driving range has mat which I don't care for. This is a great course for the Golf Now price specials. try it!
good foothills golf
Living in another part of the metroplex I have driven past the course occasionally and finally decided to play. Very glad I did and will be back again soon. The course was in great shape, greens were receptive and though a little tight in spots found the course to be a fair test for the average golfer from the center tees. Back tees add some challenge and though not a long course found it a good track for the thoughtful golfer. A great addition was a welcoming staff not shy about helping keep a reasonable pace of play. A great course for the golfer that likes some placement and opportunity for the average driver to provide an occasional shortcut.
course in great shape.
course in great shape. got one of the older carts though. staff not well staffed in golf shop.
I've played the course 5 times thru Golf Now pace has always den good duri g the week a d the staff helpful the last time I played the old carts
I like the course greens have always een nice but the last time we played it the newer carts were gone and the greens needed some attention yet still playable the has always been very friendly I'd play it again
Play a lot of courses and Deer creek will humble you
Nothing real special about the course. It's tough and I always add about 10 strokes to my game. For that reason, I usually don't play the course.

I have played this course twice and had a similar experience both times. The course is beautiful, challenging and in excellent shape. However, the length of play is horrendous. 1st round was 6 hours. The second was 5 1/2 hours. I wish I were exaggerating. Both tee times were between 8 am and 9 am on a Saturday. The staff was not helpful at all. No course Marshall. Ordering a brat at the turn took nearly 20 minutes, but we led before we got it.
I wish I could give this a good recommendation, but I will not go back.
