Como Crossings at Hawk's View Golf Club
About
Como Crossings is the 18-hole championship course at Hawk's View Golf Club. It is the only five-star rated course in Lake Geneva. The club's other course, Barn Hollow, is also an 18-hole course but it offers a unique short game layout that is great for beginners and juniors. Como Crossings sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature vegetation and woodlands. Lakes and wetlands also dot the course, coming into play on seven holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens. The front nine is more open while the back nine becomes more wooded and hilly. The course features some especially tricky par 3s, especially the 17th hole. It is a golf course that requires accuracy though it is forgiving with safe options on the left or right of most holes.

Nice trac
only the condition of the greens kept this from 5 stars.
Course layout and conditions were great. Evidently some players are either too lazy, or ignorant about fixing ball marks on the greens. It also seemed some metal spikes were the reason for scuff marks on the putting surfaces.
Pace of play was erratic, had some guys jumping all over the place, skipping holes and playing ahead. Rather unnerving.
Good thing it was a beautiful day,..Will have to reconsider coming back..too bad because we really like the place.
Worth the drive
Drove over an hour to play here.
Surprised at the condition of the greens. Spike marks, ball marks not repaired, generally poor greens for the green fees. Pace of play was all over the place. 2somes jumping all over the place, skipping holes, jumping ahead. Quite disturbing actually.
Only the fact we had a beautiful day and were in no hurry made the round palatable. Will think twice before returning.
The food was terrible. Had a Brat that looked and tasted as though it was 2 days old. The Barmaid was grouchy
Don't play before 7am
It's the equivalent of going to your favorite course before they open. Absolutely dreadful from the start.... the staff of one guy is as friendly as the guy you meet at the dmv. No starter and an army of lawn mowers the entire front nine. If you enjoy waiting for every pin to be put back in on the front nine and listening to movers on absolutely every hole than golf before 7am. Note all pins were mowed on the front nine and only hole 18 on the back nine. So just when you're getting the speeds of the greens you start the back nine as if it's now raining, as the dew is covering the entire course because you are now ahead of the army of mowers. Just don't open or charge if the course is not ready for play. Instead, they take your money and put their own people at risk of being hit and interrupting everyone trying to golf on course that shouldn't be open to the public. Not to mention the beverage cart met me at the tee box on hole 18. Wow, thanks hawks view for that impeccable service. I really can't imagine being a person that travelled any distance to be accommodated so poorly. A course charging $130 a round should have some kind of standard but its area that sets the price. Geneva national is at another level of service so for another $20 you can feel like a welcomed guest on a course that's ready for play anytime you play. The course is well worth the play...just not before 7am.
Hawks View
Second time playing this course, absolutely one of the great courses we have in Wisconsin. Our group tries to play a different course each time out, but always excited to play this course multiple times.
Course layout and course conditions are fantastic, friendly staff, incredible club house!
It was so terrific, for all above reasons. We love being able to go off early to play this breathtakingly beautiful course!
Highly recommend!
Elite!
Hawk’s View is in the elite public courses of our area. 5 tee boxes allow you to choose your challenge. We travel an hour to play and it is well worth the time. Course is immaculate from tee to green. Many of the holes are so scenic you forget you’re in the Midwest! Staff is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. Your names are on your cart before you arrive. We had the 7:10 tee time and finished Hawk’s View at 10:15.
There is a 2nd course, Barn Hollow, that is an 18 hole Par 3 course. Anytime we go, we play 18 at Hawk’s, have lunch, a couple drafts of Spotted Cow and play the par 3 course. Great day of Golf!
