About
Blackstone Golf Club is one of the hidden gems of Chicagoland golf courses. It has one of the most natural landscapes of any course in the area thanks to the incorporation of more than 26 acres of environmentally protected wetlands. Half of the course is routed through dense forests of oak and hickory trees while the other half stretches across lush, open meadows. The wetlands come into play on 13 holes. Bob Lohmann, the golf course’s designer, crafted dramatic bunkers with irregular edges and strategically placed more than 50 of them along the greensides and fairways. It’s not a golf course where you can “grip it and rip it,” instead it will force you to think carefully before each hole. The layout can be a challenging test but four sets of tees and wide, player-friendly fairways make Blackstone G.C. more accessible for a wide range of skill levels.

Though a little off the beaten path well worth the drive given excellent condition and layout with fast but true greens.
One the better courses I've played.this year. had a great time, played with a couple of regulars,that were very helpful on layout and how to play certain holes.Bentgrass fairways perfect as were the greens. Some beautiful trees on this course. Gonna be back for sure.

Awesome Venue
Course was in amazing condition for the dry weather we have been having. Lush fairways and beautiful ( but quick) greens. The course is extremely playable but challenging. Practice facility was also top notch from range to chipping area and putting green The staff was friendly and took great care of our group. I will become a regular at this course. One of my favorites
This course is one of my favorite courses in Illinois. The layout and course conditions are top notch. The starter helped me get started with a group that facilitated a good pace of play during the entire round. The course and greens were in great shape.

Very Fast
The greens are some of the fastest I have ever played as well as hard to read-We were paired with Players that had played the course before and all struggled to an extent- The rest of the course was in very good condition . Pace of play was great -Finished in a few minutes over 4 hours and never rushed-Would like to play again but felt fees were a bit high so may wait till fall rates kick in

Have Missed this Gem
Played first time in 2020. I drive 35 miles to get here, but worth it all..A fair, but challenging layout. Just need to get rakes on carts now, so we can get the best bunkers for a public course raked. Even ppl repair divots on this course. Hooray !

Always in great condition
Staff is friendly and accommodating
Can’t remember playing a round in more than 4 hours ( was crowded today and played in3:55)
Fun and challenging layout
Senior rate of $49 — great value
I saw a review that said the green fees were high compared to other courses
Nothing could be further than the truth
I play around 80 rounds a year and for the quality of this course $49 fora senior is a steal!!
$59 for non seniors is still a deal

Way over priced.
Great course that any golfer would fall in love with. However, golf prices have gotten way out of hand and Blackstone never, never discounts their extremely high green fees.

Will return and would recommend.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all excellent. First time playing here can be tough because the best lines to play aren't immediately visible.
At times it feels like every other hole is a par 5 (because it is... 5 par 5s in 9 holes). Fun back 9. Wind is a factor.
