Eaglewood Resort & Spa
About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Short but a great course!
We had an absolute blast playing this course and would recommend for anyone who has a chance to play it !
Too Short
Course is too short. We played from the tips and were able to drive on to green on a few of the par4's. Not a whole lot of long holes and there was even a par 3 that was 87 yards. A friend was able to throw a golf ball onto the green from the tee box! I think they need to make the course a bit longer to be a good course.
Good deal for the average golfer
The course plays quick. Finished in 4 hours. Greens are in poor shape with all the ball marks. Don't understand why guys don't fix them. Nice place food is good.
Great Course
My friends and I loved the course. We loved that it is tight and keeps you moving. It was well kept and beautiful! It was nice to be out and feel normal again.
Great but difficult!!
This course is great! These golf carts are like Cadillac’s / cooler, ball cleaner club cleaner, charger.. Tough tight fairways with solid bunkers . Holes weren’t numbered but hey coronavirus.. recommend 100% .. greens roll so don’t over shoot your putts!!
Go here for bad golf
Worst pace of play.. just went back to the club house after hole 5. 2 hours and 15 minutes for 5 holes?? What an absolute joke. Go here if you are in no rush and can only hit your driver 200 yards. Will never come back
Not impressed
Not impressed by the quality of the course or people. We looked for a credit for last 9 and was told it’s our issue to deal with with golf now. I sent a tweet to golf now with no reply.
We had folks behind us tee off too soon, hitting balls during our play and a staff member indicate we need to drive to ever single ball. Wasn’t enjoyable. We solved our own issue by letting them play through with our partner but at no point were they talked to when we mentioned they were too aggressive and knew it based on direct comments to us..
Would not recommend when there are other nice golf options nearby to choose from.
Excellent as always
The course was in excellent shape, per usual. Sharing a property line with Medinah, it's always quiet at Eaglewood and the routing makes the most of the property they have. Always enjoy my round here.
Always a Pleasure
We play this course often because it is always a pleasure to play there.
