I paid for this?

The golf course had some of the most unfriendly staff I have ever seen at a golf course in 20 years. We made the mistake of driving our carts out into the parking lot and you would have thought we killed somebody. To say we were scolded is an understatement… was borderline physically assaulted by the cart guy. Then got a tongue lashing from the ranger who then let 2 groups that were supposed to be behind us go in front of us…we should have left at that point but we didn’t. The front was very subpar and not in very good shape. Dusty and just very pedestrian with boring holes. I will say the back was much much better…maybe not the greatest of shape but extremely interesting holes. It was like playing golf on mars…very barren but still pretty cool layout. If you can look past the really bad rude staff and have patience to be bored with the front for 2 hours the back is worth the trouble. Honest though you are probably better off finding someplace else to play and spend your money.

Amazing setup

Liked the variety of hole setups. Lots of up & downs & carries over canyons. Visually intimidating but not so bad when you actually hit the ball. Greens could use some work but overall good value for the money & worth seeing the different holes. Not your ordinary back and forth course.

Two different 9’s

The experience did not start well with a harsh scolding for taking the cart to the car to load up. No one told us not to go to the lot until we were at the car and it was a really big deal. Not a great way to start the day. The rangers knew some customer service training. The front nine was less than we expected and the conditions were below average. The back nine is off the charts, very scenic and dramatic. Elevation changes and forced carries are common place on this nine holes. Happy we were able to see and play the back nine but overall not worth $100 price tag.

Not Worth It

Frost delay pushed back tee times which is out of the course's control but instead of communicating with customers, the staff misled many by assuring that delays were brief. When we arrived to the first tee, there was a backlog that tracked back to the clubhouse with no order. When asked why golfers could not push off the back, one starter said "we can't do that, superintendent's rules...I don't get paid to think"

Nice explanation.

Quarry Pines has steadily raised rates while the level of service has lowered and conditions have stayed subpar.

Save your money and time. Play elsewhere.

Challenging yet rewarding

This course has it all. Elevation changes, punishing results for less than stellar drives, fast and slow greens, and obstacles in awkward places. The front 9 are beautiful, back 9 are cut-throat. Highly recommended

Always a favourite

Always a must play when I visit Tucson. As price has dramatically increased the level of service when arriving and leaving could be much better. Grumpy guys working out there. Great course to play with very challenging strategic holes.

Need a Marshall

Play was extremely slow, people in front hitting two balls, didn’t show golf etiquette. Needed a Marshall to keep things going
