On back 9 Photo submitted by Lsj021 on 11/18/2012
greens need work
some of the pins were too close to edge of greens rough was too long in many spots.
challenging
This public course offers many challenging holes with beatifull views at portions....was too difficult for pam who does not hit the ball very far as several holes require carries over waste areas with no "bailouts" ...I enjoyed it very much and thought is was a very good value
Quarry Pines
This course is a great value. The front nine is walkable and has a usual layout. The back, in a quarry, is beautiful and challenging. These require some shot planning. Course is in good condition however the bunkers are more dirt than sand. It might be best to take relief laterally rather than trying to play a “bunker shot”.
Great layout
Good challenging course with great vistas.
Just too bad they don’t Marshall the course. The cost benefit would be rewarding. It just takes one inconsiderate group to make the day tedious for all groups behind. More than once we have had to wait on every hole. Golf should never take more than 4 hours for any level of player. I would definitely play here more often if it was properly marshalled.
Outstanding golf course
This was a great course to play especially the back nine. If you want to play a golf course with great views this is the one for you. A real treat to play.
Rock hard greens - no driving range
Its been a few years since playing here mostly because i live on the far east side of Tucson. I was disapointed they no longer have a driving range for practice or warm- up. The course layout hasn't changed much - links on the front nine, with a challenging back nine that includes some forced carries.
Overall pretty good, except the greens were rock hard and extremely fast.
Great Job
Superintendent and his crew have done a fabulous job in caring for the course. Keep up the great work!!
Fun golf course; unique setty
All good at Quarry Pines. Course in VG condition, stunning views in the quarry. Mostly fair holes.
