Quarry Pines Golf Club

The course is beautiful, very unique and challenging, especially the back nine.

We had a wedding party in front of us, there were 4 carts two holes ahead of us and at least 6 golfers in the group, in front of were 2 carts and 4 golfers, it was obvious they had little golf experience and no etiquette, they were constantly yelling and dancing around, very loud!

the issue was we were waiting for nearly 10 minutes per hole while these guys were constantly looking for balls, taking excessive practice swings, going back and forth to their carts to get different clubs etc., needless to say we only finished 14 holes, would have been nice for a ranger or a staff person to break up the "party" and either speed it up a little or let us play through.

Course is spectacular visually and really interesting to play. Back 9 is deep into the quarry, and will force you to be creative. Highly recommend.

Course was in fair shape. More importantly no range, no GPS on carts and no beverage cart all day. Even no water at the water station. Would not play again

Conditions were good, pace of play was 4:10. Enjoyed the layout, it's scenic and challenging. Lack of an active driving range was the only negative.

Two distinctly different nines. Hit it straight and enjoy the tricky greens that’ll test your skills. Don’t be fooled by the yardage. Elevation changes, greens and shot placement really make you think.

I really like this course but the pace of play is terrible. 5 hrs to play 16 holes and couldn't finish due to darkness.

Unfortunately this is not the first time as it has been extremely slow the last several times I've played.

My playing companions and I agree that we are done with this course as it does not seem to get better . There appears to be no effort to enforce a reasonable pace of play.

It is a great course, however, the course was overbooked, on a hot day, which made for tedious, waking on every hole

The course is in really good condition right now. I believe they just got a new superintendent so they are working on improving the course.

Fairways were good and the rough was pretty lush. The greens were rolling nice. Had to fix a few ball marks but nature of playing public courses.

Only downsides is not enough sand in the in the bunkers I was in. They have a driving range but it's closed due to disputes with the apartment buildings close by I heard.

One of the more unique courses since the back 9 sits in a quarry. Definitely worth checking out.

Quite the course! Amazing job designing the holes around and through the quarry on the back nine. Hard to believe, but I would even call the course conditions “lush”. A desert course! Would like to play it again..

Course is pretty rough. The rough is over grown and in some places and full of weeds, greens are poor...some are extremely rough. Pace of play was embarrassing slow. Started at 1pm gave up after 14 holes...it took 4 1/2 hours to play 14 holes. No marshal on the course. We told an employee to help...he told me 5 hours is a normal round at this place. It would have taken us 6 had we tried to play all 18. Total waste of time.

This course had some very unique holes. It is pretty, but unless you can put the ball right where it needs to land, golf will be a challenge.

A number of holes require 100+ yard carry to hit the fairway or green. If you miss the spot, your ball is gone, down into the quarry.

Overall the day was fun. To keep of pace going there were many times you just drop your ball near a partner's to move the game a long.

More skilled golfers will enjoy this course more than the average player.

I’ve played this course many times and always enjoyed it. However, the staff looks so many groups that we were headed to a 5 1/2 hour round and had to quit because of lack of sunlight. No course rangers teetimes eight minutes apart. Won’t go back until summer when the crowds thin out. I would advise not playing this course at this point.
