StoneRidge Golf Course

About
Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

Would play again!!!
Excellent experience & coming back again in a week with my wife.
Lots of vertical challenge & wide open spaces with views
Enjoyed this course. Went on a Monday and had the course to ourselves. Great vistas! This is a challenging track with lots of vertical gain. I played the whites which is VERY long for women. There are lots of primitive areas to cross requiring a solid drive off the tee. We saw bunnies, lizards, roadrunners and not many people. Grill was closed since it was Monday so we went to Colt BBQ for lunch as it started raining at the turn and came back to finish. All in all a good golf day
Thirsty
If you thirsty bring your own water… They no longer have drinking water on the course nor tell you there’s no water on the course. Poorly played
Great course!
We enjoyed the course which we haven’t played for 4 years. Unfortunately, the range this morning due to planned maintenance. The rough was definitely a challenge. This was due to the much needed rain over the past couple weeks. No roll even on the fairways. We need to come back and play again!
Excellent course-horrible pace of play
Pro shop was extremely nice and helpful. Driving range in good shape and everything looked like it was going to be good. Then we started playing. Course conditions were excellent.
The worst part was the pace of play. After 5 1:2 hours we had played 12 holes. Then our cart went out and had to wait 20 minutes for another cart. We just said the heckwith it and quit.
I don’t know if this is normal, but don’t go if you want to play in a reasonable time.
Challenging layout
Thick rough, keep it in the fairway and use the book on every shot.
Stoneridge Golf Club great again!
Nothing to complain about. Everything was up to par (haha)
Upper 70’s to boot. Go play it, you’ll be glad you did.
Altitude.
This is a nice course but it is extremely hilly and difficult to maneuver if you have a handicap. ( bad knees) etc.....It was hot and being that it is at 5200 feet elevation and not used to the altitude I couldn't finish. No water on the carts unless you pay 2.50 a bottle which is a ripoff. I won't play this course again and will stick to the Valley.
Exceeded Expectations
I recently moved to Prescott Valley and have wanted to play Stoneridge for years. Glad I finally got the opportunity. Only disappointment was finding out the restaurant was closed on Monday. Already looking forward to the next round!
Enjoy the sweaty Valley! Ha ha
