Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

the course offers many risk/reward opportunities for the player which creates a challenging dynamic. the layout is great with many stunning views.
Good course layout
Beautiful scenic views and fairways in great condition, but greens were terrible and you could not make a good put as they were punched and sanded. I am sure in the peak season this course will in good shape.
Loved it
Heard a lot about this course finally played it for the first time today. The layout is fantastic the greens were punched in the beginning of April but Our coming along nicely and should be great in a week or two. Seen a lot of reviews saying bring extra balls did not find it more difficult than a typical course of its rating.. we are already planning a return trip in a few weeks. Definitely worth the drive.
Very Disappointing
The course is in rough shape. It still hasn't recovered from the aeration of the greens. Fairways are kind of iffy, some were ok but other were patchy. Biggest disappointment was the pace of play. We waited on every shot and on every hole. It was brutally painful. There was no Marshal to keep pace. Absolutely killed the day for us. Groups were backing up waiting. We watched a group give up and just head back in. It is very unlikely I will be back under these conditions.
Bouncy greens
I understand that courses have to do routine maintenance my problem is that it should be disclosed. Greens were recently punched and the grass was thick in little patches. Very slow greens. Drove an hour to play there we would have chosen elsewhere if we were aware of the maintenance
little disappointed did not get to play back 9 they were working on it. were put with two guys from the area & had a great time
Horrible Greens
Beautiful course but I think we should have been told the greens had recently been plugged and sanded! It was like putting on a beach!
Stoneridge
Great course. Narrow and difficult great time. Wish they had a beverage cart
Course was restricted to nine holes, played twice for 18 hole booked round
The pace of play was unacceptable. Only completed 13 holes.
Beautiful course
Stoneridge was an amazing and beautiful course! I can’t imagine how this course looks in the summer when it’s completely green. Easily top 5 courses I’ve been to, and I’ll def have to do this course again.
Winter covid conditions
Decent for conditions of the times.
No food or drinks on Mondays. Greens ok. Bunkers have rakes but need sand.
Fairways ok- recently plugged.
No water stations on course so bring your own.
Pace of play was above average but then fairways were recently plugged
Love the course but they raised prices last year trying to make it
Incredible course
Beautiful course with some phenomenal views. Worth the drive up from Phoenix. Will be back again!
