StoneRidge Golf Course

About
Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

Beautiful layout
A great golfing experience. The staff was kind to let me have a yardage booklet which was very useful. Greens were quick, not overly fast. Myself and two playing partners ran up behind the remnants of a mens league who were part of a shotgun based upon our observations. In a word, these guys added additional attributes to slow play. And what made it worse is that they didn't care how many groups were impacted that were playing behind them. The club needs to have a talk with these guys. There were no players in front of them. I will definitely play the course again.
This course gets your attention
A local who went through me on #10 told me "if you can golf this course decently, you can play anywhere".
You are playing up, down and over ravines all day long, very challenging. Plenty of sidehill lies. Nice facilities. I'll be back.
Great course
Partner in the pro shop was just a super guy what a beautiful club. Ronnie the cart guy was doing a great job and just a really nice guy to.
Bring extra balls and be ready...
This is one of the most scenic courses we have played in Arizona. SPECTACULAR VIEWS!!! The staff was super friendly and the course is challenging with lots of blind approach shots and undulating fairways and greens. Challenging and beautiful.
Beautiful course
This is another example of a beautiful Arizona course. Many elevation changes and some blind holes. Course conditions were very good...the staff was super friendly and a uniquely challenging course. We will definitely play here again.
The course is an awesome place to.play. the only thing is there are too many singles and two somes. They should of been paired up to speed up play. That won't stop me from playing there again tho
Challenging Course
I did really enjoy playing this course and it really is amazing, the hardest part is that it is target golf. You need to be able to keep it in the grass or the score will be higher period. I lost 5 balls and found over 17...that should give you an idea.
So I do recommend it, just be prepared to play the round like you would a game of chess.
It is an amazing course.
Excellent course
This course has a great layout with many forced carries and a lot of elevation changes. Greens were a bit slow when I played it but that did not take away from the enjoyment. Excellent course and I will be back.
Enjoyed a lot
I've never given all 5 stars to a course before but this place is awesome. Must pay attention to every shot
Challenging
Staff was was great! When they offer you the book about the course don't just stick in your back pocket.
From 1st hole you know you're going to have a great no matter what you shoot.. On the way to the 2nd hole our first cart had a SNAKE snap at it, that definitely stop you from looking for your ball. My Advice "READ THE BOOK".
Will definitely return sooner than later.
Gorgeous Course
We so enjoyed our round at Stoneridge. Such a refreshing change-up from some of the courses we have been playing. Challenging fairways with slopes and doglegs made for great fun and demanded course management consideration in our play. Thought we'd just be checking out this golf course, and have now discovered it is the course we will prefer to play in this area.
Tremendous Value
For the price you can't beat this course. I played from the tips and found it to be challenging but yet fair. A little course knowledge would've gone a long way on a few holes like 18. The staff was really helpful, the course was in amazing shape, and the greens were in great shape. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.
Tough layout
You really need a gps map to pick your target landing area. No one in our foresome had one. One first time player quit on back side after losing several balls in the extreme rough. Course website should recommend players bring device since carts don't have this feature.
Stunning setting
Love this course. It is so beautiful and challenging in a good way. The greens were a tad bumpy but overall it was an excellent day of golf. Highly recommend you okay it.
