Old Corkscrew Golf Club

A fairly difficult course with a lot of water that comes into play. No forgiveness near the water at all. Greens are undulating with challenging pin placements. Better have your A game working playing this course. Accuracy is a must!

Loved the course. Nestled in the natural habitat of SW FL. Course layout and unique holes were great. Challenging but not overwhelming. Tees, fairways and greens all in good shape. Nice bunkers. Greens were semi fast but not lightening fast. Overall great experience. I would go back.

Corkscrew is a Nicklaus design with some very good holes.

The par 5's are a little quirky. The fairway and bunker conditions are good. They have always had problems with the greens. They are better this year but certainly not in the condition you would expect for a course that is charging $225 per round!

They have opened up some of the scrubby areas and it's visually nicer than in years past.

The clubhouse is small and no one was there.

The staff is very nice and helpful. We played on a Weds. The only good thing about the fees being so overpriced is that the pace of play is great since no one is playing.

I always enjoy old Corkscrew and it did not disappoint. It is one of the best, if not the best, public courses in SW Florida. A true test of golf for accomplished players and others alike.

Wish they would have mentioned the poor conditions of the greens. Rest of the course looks and plays great but most greens had large bare spots and rolled slow and bumpy. A shame as it’s a fantastic layout and other than the greens very good shape. Practice green is nothing like the greens on the course, hopefully they’ll be able to fix or replace the greens on the course.

Made the turn to the back nine and ran into 3 groups on the tee box. The front nine flowed well so not sure what happened.

Excellent golfing experience. My friends from Ohio also enjoyed it. Great golf course. Nicklaus knows what he is doing!

We played on Thanksgiving Day because as Canadians we had our Thanksgiving in October.

Despite this the staff was very friendly and respectful.

The course was not very busy but they staff could not leave until the group behind us was done , at around 4 PM.

I would go back the next time if the price was right.

Old Corkscrew is a favorite for all the right reasons: beautiful layout and excellent condition, terrific practice facilities, etc. One major factor in my love for this course is that it isn't marred by signs of civilization: homes, buildings, traffic, etc. If you love golf in natural environment, you'll adore Old Corkscrew.

Every hole is pristine greens are money - challenging however water trouble easily avoidable. Must play if you’re in the Naples area !
