Old Corkscrew Golf Club
About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

9th Green Photo submitted by jmcbride2013 on 04/21/2013
Great course overall
Beautiful layout, scenic, tough but fair. Lots of fun. Love complaint would be the condition of a number of the greens. Bumpy with some dead spots on a few greens. Overall though, great course, and was very quiet mid-afternoon, so pace of play was excellent.
It was a great course, very nice layout, challenging but not killer. However, the group in front of us was very slow, that resulted in a FIVE hour day.
Well worth a visit
Played here 10 years ago and we were pleased that the course was still not surrounded by residential properties
Great layout with each hole very independent, lots of flora and fauna. Gators cruising and lots of varied bird life.
Friendly welcome from the starters and Pro shop, good range and chipping facilities.
-vs were slightly shabby tees and the greens were ok but on the slow side and had suffered a bit of pitch mark damage.
It’s a top dollar course and we’d definitely play here again.
More Golf Carts
More golf carts!
It’s a circus act getting a golf cart.
For the money spent on green fees, you would think enough carts would be available when you arrive.
A frustrating beginning at the bag drop for everyone involved.
Carts were being saved for an added mystery group going out, not a welcoming place:(
Our yearly travel group won’t be back:(
Drunk replay groups ahead of us
The course needs to manage the replay groups that decide to get drunk then hold up the entire course. We finished at sunset and the clubhouse was closed. No bathrooms available. Terrible customer service.
A decent course but little over priced.
Greens were a little damaged but overall in good shape. Course is extremely tough which you can tell from the slope.

we try it again because Old Corkscrew is one of the interesting golf courses in the Naples area
the greens were still terrible with more dirt than grass on it - no roll control
little value of my money
i cant understand why they do not rebuild
all greens instead of ruin their name
Great course with four maintained greens
They raise the feed a play, but the greens have become worse. They’re slow and in bad condition. No longer worth the money for one of my favorite courses.
Challenging Course
Like other Jack Nicklaus designed courses,, Old Corkscrew demands precision and Patience. Greens are on the smaller side, well protected and undulated. Setting is magnificent with not a building or development in sight on most holes.
Love this golf cours!
This is a stunningly beautiful golf course that is surprisingly challenging. You have to know where and where not to hit it!
Beautiful Golf Course!
This track is a great risk reward. Beautiful shape and really fun to play!
Formerly a good course to play
A top golf course that is now run to maximize the volume of golfers.
Pace of play is poor.
Tournaments are allowed.
Green fees are too high for the traffic on the course.
Its no longer a true premium experience.
Try Saltleaf instead !
Good course
Very good course. Very challenging. The greens could be better.
CParson
Still one of our favorites in the area, course is incredibly scenic in every direction, staff amazingly accommodating, pro shop divine selections and prices~ go play this course, enjoy!
Challenges galore!
A fairly difficult course with a lot of water that comes into play. No forgiveness near the water at all. Greens are undulating with challenging pin placements. Better have your A game working playing this course. Accuracy is a must!
Great course
Loved the course. Nestled in the natural habitat of SW FL. Course layout and unique holes were great. Challenging but not overwhelming. Tees, fairways and greens all in good shape. Nice bunkers. Greens were semi fast but not lightening fast. Overall great experience. I would go back.
