About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Always great
Every hole is pristine greens are money - challenging however water trouble easily avoidable. Must play if you’re in the Naples area !

GREAT golf course
Old Corkscrew Golf Club is by far one of the best conditioned and most challenging public access golf courses in all of SW Florida. The staff is most attentive and very informative making sure you enjoyed your day . There was a little issue this summer on the greens but they are now back and in great condition. During 'season' they generally speed them up a bit making for more of a challenge. There are 5 different tee box options up to 7400 yds so make sure you play the one within your ability and you will surely enjoy it more.
Extremely Difficult but Fabulous Layout
A 2.5+ hour back nine spoiled a rather good day … on one of the most difficult courses you’ll ever see
Nice course but really bad greens
It is a nice course with challenging layout and nice practice areas.
And then we have the greens. Felt like they hadn't been cut in like 2 weeks. Very slow speed and not a fair roll.
After a while we had to try so we shot 4 balls from the same place and they didnt even get close to each other.
Not recommended until they fix the greens. There is a lot of better alternatives in the area for less money
Old Corkscrew Review.
The greens were in terrible shape. Whoever is in charge of them should be fired. The course was burnt out in a lot of areas. I have been playing this course for years and never seen it this bad. The cost to play is not even close to what you would expect with the conditions as such.
Firestone Country Club in Ohio is only pay $125 per round. And you would never see it in this bad weather f condition. I will probably never play here again.
1st Class Course & Layout
Beautiful expansive golf course. Very challenging. Plays long. I should have laid up more often & just played for par. Greens are slow. Putt to the hole.
Challenging but fun....
Old Corkscrew is very challenging, but play the tees best for you and it in manageable and fun. Layout is pretty, without any housing.
